The Lapland one is especially funny to me because they gaslight themselves by not realizing everything Chris was saying is the original European basis for Santa Clause that came WAY before the Americanized version.

I grew up in Britain and I was told about Lapland as well. I always thought that The North Pole was where Santa worked from and where his business operated, but Lapland would be where he'd actually live the rest of the year. Considering he can travel across the world in one night, it didn't seem implausible that he'd live in a place in Finland and travel to the North Pole when business dictated.
