I know im in the minority but imo these boulders are way more interesting than the constant coordination dynos being for world cups these days.

Guillaume just seems to get himself into weird positions then proceeds to be like "Whelp. I got myself in a bit of an awkward position... Now how do I get out?" and somehow manages to make it work.

I watched this back in 2014 and have been following climbing ever since. It's crazy to see how different the route setting has become in the last 5 years and not necessarily for the better.

I enjoy this route setting a lot more than today’s route setting.

FML, this is so inspiring. It makes me want to drop whatever I'm doing and get on the wall. What an incredible sport.

I've watched climbing comps regularly since 2014 and looking back at old footage I'm always blown away by how much harder boulders used to be. Instead of being a demonstration of who has the most power, raw strength, and best technique, now comps are about who can do the jump the fastest. Creating separation is always the excuse for the change in style, but it seems like comps of the past few years aren't separated on number of tops and bonuses/zones, but who can top all of the problems in the fewest attempts. These parkour/"coordination dyno" moves do nothing to separate when all of the climbers already know all the tricks.

Since Toronto I'm a big big big GuiGui-Fan! He is so creative and he always seems to have fun in whatever he's trying! I'd love to see more of his climbing!
