This is was the one movie that had me cringing, laughing, and crying. Spike was my favorite character, he's just loyal and out there. It didn't occur to me until now that he also was in the Oasis video "The Importance of Being Idle. "

as a welshman I approve this video. there's so many variations of the welsh accent, and 5 distinct welsh languages thats the same but different, yet we can understand each other, in WW2 they used the welsh to speak welsh over the radio to communicate and to confuse the germans, they thought it was a code 😂 and could never decode it, thought id throw that out there, can you believe it was a criminal offence to speak welsh and parliament did everything to stamp it out, it almost succeeded,, in 1958 after a welshman was arrested for speaking welsh, our language was again finally recognised as our national language, and is the only Celtic language to increase year on year, unfortunately Scottish and Irish languages are almost gone, I think spike and the sister should have been in it a bit more, RIP the actress that played her. but it was the perfect film that will stand the test of time. no agenda pushed, just a pure love story of a chance encounter.

Honestly Rhys Ifans was THE best thing in this entire shitfest of a film. Rather stick to "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Love Actually" by Curtis.
