I’ve always loved how he talked to people. He gets people to like and respect him just by how he talks to people. In my opinion that’s why he won. Laurel felt she connected with him more than Dom, because Wendell spent the time to get to know and talk to her unlike Dom. Real human relationship do mean something in this game.

You can tell Jeff likes someone if he goes off script. Like when Cochran left in South Pacific he said "just take the stairs" and obviously we all know Jeff loves Cochran. Just like here, Wendell called his name and he responded "what?!"

Idk I enjoyed the dynamic with him, dim, and laurel. I think it’s poetic that it really came down to whoever laurel connected with/thought played a better game after being ignored and discredited most of the season and especially in the finale. In the end, she became the most important person in the game, single handedly deciding who gets the money.

Right now, i'm thinking on how Wendell will do in a full season of all winners....Season 40 is gonna be a gamble!

I honestly don't get why this season has such a bad rep. It had an iconic final tribal council with two incredible players deadlocked for the win, it had a great earlier portion of the game with an epic rivalry between chris and Domenick, and the twist was actually quite enjoyable in my opinion even though most of the curses weren't reversed. Aside from a few lackluster players this season was great and I was happy with the winner

I was actually rooting for both Dom and Wendell (leaned a little more towards Dom) but I totally agree that both of them played a pretty equal, strong game

I feel like he’s very underrated

I’m glad Wendell won this season. I feel like Wendell was the complete survivor player. A very aggressive, very strategic player who was calm and collected but always had great awareness of what was going on and always staged strategically on edge. Not to mention he won 2 immunities and got exiled and still found a way to get to the end with that amazing fire making challenge. If only he could have played in the great survivor era ( seasons 13-20 )

Where are my season 40 fans??

I’ve seen almost every single season more than three times some of them, but never watched this one because it was spoiled for me. However, this was such a great season. For me, Dom played the best game. Definitely The Godfather. A mix of Boston Rob and Rick Devens even though Rick was a later season! He can deflect blame and gaslight so well! Even with people knowing he’s the biggest threat! He was so good. He can manipulate so well. I really just like Wendell. He’s a smooth talker man. He had a really good social game and he found many advantages. I think his social game is what won him the money in the end, plus he earned the spot with making fire. He’s the good cop usually and Dom the bad cop. However, Laurel, I feel like played a much better game than the jury said or I feel people realize. The only reason people are so mad is because she had the opportunity to take one of them out and didn’t. For me, that is total strategy and makes her just as good because she did hold their games in her hands more than once. However, she knew they trusted her and she was fine. There were multiple times she put herself in a place of power to be a swing vote to then dictate the way the game would go. Also the fact that her and Donathan were able to work with Dom and Wendell under the radar was smart. She always left herself with options and when people just thought she was on the bottom, she was able to lie and make people think that when she was actually in the numbers. It was smart gameplay in my opinion. I think the only time she didn’t know something was when Kellyn pit two votes on her with her extra vote. I loved Laurel’s game play. It was just more lowkey and strategic and behind the scenes. Since Wendell and Dom were in everyone’s faces and threats since the beginning made them better players in the juries eyes. For me, I thought she played a more strategic game than Wendell. I may have voted for her. For me Dom and Laurel played the best overall games, but Wendell was also great! Honestly, I would’ve been fine with any of the final 3 winning. I’ve never said that!

One of the worst seasons ever. There's not enough people willing to make big moves to make the season interesting. The "Naviti strong" mantra took away all the joy out of Ghost Island.
