3 of the bottom plastic corners broke on mine leaving the device useless. Also the metal bars on the bottom were prone to falling out.

Hi Jim - sorry to hear that. Did you reach out to tourna for replacement? I've taken my apart and put together a couple times for travel on a plane and one time I put the bars in the right way and the other the wrong way. When things were screwed in, mine never fell out. Sorry yours didn't work properly. Carrie and I have just received a competitor's basket that we are going to try out and review. Be sure to check a future video for this new product. Have you found the sliding rods little tough to slide? Love mine. Trying to figure out a way to make them slide little easier

I think the rods need a bit of use to slide easier. When we took our baskets apart to travel to Mexico for our pickleball camp we were teaching Carrie and I compared how we out them together. I am going to re - assemble mine because I misplaced the rods for a short bit and temporarily used wooden chop sticks for a while from Chinese takeout! :) thanks for the message. I love this little basket- so portable!

There’s a tennis version of this in the same mini size. Do you know if it’s the same on as the pickleball one? The tennis one is cheaper and delivers faster.

I think it’s worth trying to save some money. I’ve used tennis baskets for pickleballs in the past and I like the lightness of the pickleball version frankly. That’s why I went small. No more heavy baskets for me! Let me know what you decide!

I bought a metal tennis hopper before but the welding gave up on me after an hour of using it. I checked this one out too but are the legs/handle sturdy enough for frequent movement(setting it up for feeding then for picking up the balls)? Also not sure if you saw the bigger one which holds 40+ balls but is the mini version practical enough for solo drills or would you rather get the bigger one?

Hi Josh- I have not used the mini for long. Just a couple of weeks. My sister Carrie and I have used too many metal hoppers for tennis balls that gave out probably front the weight of the balls. I wanted a mini so I could carry on the back of my bike and head down to the courts for serving practice mainly, along with other drills. I didn’t need 40 for shorted drilling, I do think these legs will hold up because pickleballs are so light. Thanks for checking! Let me know which one you get and how it works out for you! Anne Z

I am looking at both the mini and the larger one. Have you tried the larger one?

@@mykyaniteam2957 Yes, the larger one is good too, but I wanted to be completely mobile and the 20 balls is enough for some light service practice and drills without having to carry a heavier version around and maintain a lot more balls on the court. I still go with the lighter one. The heavier one reminds me to much of my tennis teaching days, instead of fun practice which I do now!
