The only thing about Maine is that the weather can really stink sometimes. The winter is brutal and last year it rained 3/4 of the spring and summer. We are hoping for a better summer this year 😅 but the people in Maine are great and the state is beautiful

As somebody who grew up in Portland (yes, Oak’s park has rollercoasters) and now lives in Alaska (we’re much further west than you think. The flight from Anchorage to Hawaii is shorter than from LA), this is a special episode for me in terms of Rhett being wrong about random bits of knowledge I have 😂

Oaks park in Oregon does have a couple roller coasters, lots of other rides and a roller skating rink. Not my favorite amusement park but it’s definitely one you could go to anytime you want to go on rides. Certainly no Disney, but it’s still fun for the kids.

I work at a medical facility and I asked ChatGPT about a common occurrence and it tried it hardest into gaslighting me that it was fictional and anything saying it can happen is misinformation 😂😂. Keep in mind this is a very common occurrence 😂

I'm from the NW and Oaks Park near Portland built in 1905 is called Oaks Amusement park. It's old school. Bumper cars, roller skating on an old wooden rink, small rollercoasters and rides. And I could be wrong but I think there's ice-skating in the winter.

Using my old installation of stand-alone Google Earth (not the new browser based Google Earth), I conclude that the farthest point in the US away from Australia, not counting any islands in Australia or Nantucket Island in the US, is the eastern most point on Cape Cod. The thing that people don't realize about the plains states is that, while relatively flat, they actually have an elevation change of several thousand feet from lowest to highest. Kansas's change is 3,362 feet. Nebraska's is 4,584 feet.
