@@succulentsforbeginners Maybe how to grow from seeds and how to replant them. Interested in this one because some rare cactus or succulents are really really expensive. >w< Thinking to get the seeds and grow them instead.

This video is awesome. But I'd love to see how you'd apply this soil in indoor setting. I assume you'd suggest the first recipe, since indoor succs/cacti don't have the light, heat and wind that out door plants have that help keep roots dry and healthy. Mentioning the last soil recipe is good for house plants is great and gives me an idea how to apply that recipe. Thanks for your clear videos and showing examples of why or why not to use something. I get frustrated reading articles that just say "use a well draining soil" cause that... really doesn't mean much to a nuub like me without clear examples.

I have a question i can't find Pumice in my area can i replace with Perlita oh vermiculite...thank you
@pluemonade_lovechild9216
@pluemonade_lovechild9216 3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Perlite is okay.
@feix5800
@feix5800 2 жыл бұрын
Pumice is rock-like and its surfaces are rough which is good for roots or plant to anchor on. Sand or small rocks, gravel etc. is good replacement for pumice. Perlite and vermiculite on the other hand are soft, flaky and light (like oatmeal), they don't function as anchor to plants. Sand and compost are the necessities, pumice and perlite/vermiculite are the upgrades.

A better video would actually be what these ingredients actually are. The terminologies are so subjective. I don't find this too helpful. It would be like saying the winning lottery numbers are in the field of numbers you are picking from.
