My FBO Q50 weighs 3820 and I've been able to run 10.96. Wish it weighed much less. I really enjoy watching your videos when I'm not posting mine. BTW you sound like a super hero 😅

Constructive Feedback: 1.Pounds/Horsepower would have been a much more relatable measure to show the results. A 4300 lb car with 355 horsepower would have to carry 12.11 pounds per each horsepower that it produced whereas a 3800 lb car with the same 355 horsepower only has to carry only 10.07 pounds for each horsepower it makes. This is a much more easily understood and relatable measure. 2. A chart showing the final results would have been nice. A picture is worth a thousand words so to speak as all those numbers and models are not easily remembered throughout the presentation.

I love the plaid because the power is through the whole powerband it's always there it never stops. It makes peak power at about 80 mph all the way up to 200. No shifting no loss in shifting.

I know we are talking about new cars, but C5 and C6 corvettes are great for performance on a budget. The C6 Z06 has to be my favorite car under 40k. 505 hp and only 3130 pounds puts power to weight at 0.161 right with a new zl1 camaro. Plus they still look great and can make big power with simple mods.

Its like a F15 fighter jet. Its engines produce more pounds of thrust than the plane weighs. Which gives one of the fastest climb rates in the world.

Yea that Shelby 500 is no joke but the recent prices take it well over 100k with mark up and taxes so idk if it should be in this category just like the CT5 V Blackwing and the super stock which can also go well over the 100k mark. For something well under 100k I think the Camaro ZL1 1LE is the best bet. Also what about the Type R and the Subaru WRX STI, shouldn’t those be under the 40k mark?

Did you take into account the Competition package for the 2021 M3/m4? it raises the HP to "505" and it technically is the "base" package if you want the automatic. AS always in typical BMW fashion it dynoed at about what it should make at the crank. I have a 2022 M3 Xdrive and with just a jb4 piggyback I ran 10.8 with a passenger lol on 93 pump.

@@paulsdeep5598 It's worth it, definitely option the carbon bucket seats and the full leather. Makes the interior night and day different. Only way to get these things is to order. I put a deposit in April I didn't get get a allocation to build until end of June. Car was built and shipped in July and I took delivery on August 12th. So it's a bit of a wait, but the xdrive m3s are crackhead fast.

'04 durango with the 5.7l v8 (330 HP, 370 ft-lbs. TQ, and ~5k lbs.) has a ratio of about 0.065, but can still scoot up to 60 mph in 7ish seconds, not bad for a 17 year old suv imo. :)

That's very similar to my 99 Dakota R/T. 0-60 in 6.9 according to contemporary tests. Awesome holeshot, but gets HUNTED after half-track.

Hands down? What metric are you using, the RT? The Challenger RT gets knocked silly by the Mustang GT or Camaro SS. The base Mustang GT and LT1 Camaro are around 37k with 455-460 horsepower. The Scat Pack starts at 42k, for 25 more horse than the Mustang. The Camaro and Mustang are the hands down winners of this, not the Challenger/Dodge.

@@nicholaswidlewski8876 it's more than just hp. The Scat Pack has a big torque advantage. I know the regular scat is difficult to hook up at times, but if you go with the 1320 trim, it fixes alot of those issues.

I have a 21 Charger GT AWD and a 20 Durango GT AWD and my Durango feels a little faster but much quicker if that makes sense in comparison to my Charger. I'm no expert but I wonder if the Durangos 50/50 even weight distribution has anything to do with it.

Couldn't say for sure since I didn't look it up but I bet your Durango may be tuned for higher torque and maybe lower hp.

I can't understand the way you are calculating. It should be this. Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. 4,300 lbs ÷ 485 horsepower. 8.87. So you have 8.87 lbs per every 1 horsepower. 8.87/1. Power to weight ratio.

The electrics hava an advantage that they how a power level and not a curve.. gas engines have to make more than the electrics up top to compensate... ive been a firm believer that engines should be rated on average horsepower not max horsepower.

@@paulelliott682 It exists and has been driven. Famed engine builder Steve Morris custom built the v16 quad turbo by joining two LS v8s engines together. Every component in the engine is exotic and custom. Its been dyno tested as well on video.

For performance challenger when you look at weight it blows them away Ford does a good job in engine and drive line balance the double over head cam revs so much higher that's where they get performance and a lower gear ratio if it had a 3.09 or 2.62 it would be a slow dog if dodge put a 3.70 or 3.73 it would mop the floor with them prime example early vipers had 3.70 gear ratio they killed vetts up to 170 mph then they run out of gear then the vette would pass it.

It's very rare a car makes more torque than HP. Especially in a gas engine.

Its the norm for v8 twin turbos. Germams in particular like BMW Audi Mercedes. Thats why they destroy many cars that have more HP.

@@registrationaccount1034 Again it's in a heavy minority, that cars have more torq than HP. As you've demonstrated in only using 1 manufacture. Also side not 550 twin turbo has more hp than torq. But again cars mostly have more hp than torque.

@@dtruth5769 No bmw 550 with the N63 Variant has more hp than tq. All twin turbo v8 bmws ever produced that end in 50 (ie 550 650 750 850) are N63 based V8 Twin Turbos. The same n63 is used across all ?50 models. Granted most gas cars are historically more hp than tq. But with v8 turbo charging its always going to be more tq than hp. Unless tuned somehow not to be.

They could tune it for 400hp out of the box but if they leave the PCM unlocked, let us have some fun and take it over 450hp just tuning it That's all it takes

I was actually thinking to get the camero lt1, but decided on the mustang gt because it seems like it's way easier to make huge power without having to open the engine. I'm still waiting on delivery, but I'm already collecting mods!

I love the camaro and loved the trans am! As a dad and foster daddy I cannot cart my kids around in it lol unfortunately! My wide body scatpack fits me perfectly and on top of that still looks sharp. Maybe when I retire I can get a Camaro 6.2 L

@@Andrew3455 , I'd be happy with any of the big three: Camaro LT1, Challenger 392, or Mustang GT. All of them hit above their weight class, look great, and can give you that lovin' feeling. Heck, I'm jealous of your 392 Scatpack. They're great looking, roomy, and put you back in your seat nicely.

@@turbovolvos40 Spot on. I own an LT1 and don't regret it for a second. If, like you, mods were a big consideration the Mustang 5.0 is cheaper to mod and are very fast. Have fun with the new car!
