Hi Mark, You're welcome! As mentioned good milk temps are often misunderstood by those newer to milk based espresso beverages. Marc

One pound fresh roasted beans is around $25. 16g espresso shot comes close to $1.

Here's one of our most popular coffees currently $21.29/kg: www.wholelattelove.com/products/maromas-orphea-whole-bean-espresso That comes out to $0.02129 per gram. 16 gram shot = $0.34

Hi friends. I want to start a corner coffee shop, something small, but I don't know whether to start with a semi automatic or a super automatic, of course I want to have the best flavor and body in my coffees. I have two options for the same price, an Expobar Office Control and on the side of the super automatic, a Simonelli Micro bar.

Do you recommend using supergrindz right in bean hopper and grinding those in my gaggia animal prestige?Thanks!

Hey Michael, Yes you can use in your Anima Prestige. Marc

Where can I get the dark cover like the one you have on the ENA 8?
@Wholelattelovepage3 жыл бұрын
Hi WHH, Thanks for the question. I'm not certain which cover you are referring to. The ENA 8 in the video was the "Massive Aluminum" version of the machine as seen here: www.wholelattelove.com/products/jura-ena-8-espresso-machine-aluminum Maybe it was lighting or angles which made parts of the machine look darker than they actually are? Looking to purchase a fully automatic and want some suggestions. I’d like a machine that has a good selection of milk drinks, possibly automatic milk system and even better if the machine has an app to use. The budget would be around 1000. What should I keep an eye on?
@Wholelattelovepage3 жыл бұрын
Hi HT, Thanks for the question. For app control you have to Jura and their optional Smart Connect bluetooth device which interfaces with the J.O.E. app. But, no Jura machines in your budget limit. Best bang for the buck in machine with great selection of milk drinks IMO is the Gaggia Cadorna. The Cadorna Prestige in this video is a bit out of your budget. The Cadorna Milk is closer and basically the same as the Prestige but replaces the convenience of the carafe with a tube fed device for milk. Here's a video comparing the 3 Cadorna models: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mryBh8yc3Zu9oJc.html Hope that helps! Marc

Hi m, You can reach out to our tech support team with specific inquiries. Hard to say for sure but some manufacturers use similar parts in machines like pumps etc. For expendable maintenance products like cleaners etc there should be options: www.wholelattelove.com/pages/contact-us Marc

ENA 8 user here. I had my grind setting on second finest before watching this video for my Lavazza Gran Crema. And I put my strength on 3.5 beans and volume on 45 ml/1.5 oz for my espresso, and 4 beans on 60 ml/2oz for my milk coffees. Everything was ok. Then after watching this video, I changed my grind to the finest, and strength to 5 beans and volume 45 ml for espresso. It somehow turned sour indicates under extracted. Then I pulled another one on 3.5 beans, it was much better than the 5 beans one. Both drinks took about the same amount of time around 15 seconds. So I guess it’s because the more coffee ground on the 5 bean cup resulted the under extraction. Does that make sense?
@Wholelattelovepage3 жыл бұрын
Hi WZ, Thanks for sharing your experience and details. That does seem to make sense. I thinks it's awesome that you played with the settings and tasted. My guess is most people get a machine and never change the grind size. Making adjustments to grind and strength setting will affect flavor! Marc

Sorry for a bit irrelevant post but I need help with my machine, Asa , have a 2 year old Delonghi Dedica EC.685. It has a fault developed recently whereby hardly any water leaves the group head when pulling coffee. I've run 2 descales through it to ensure it isn't a build up of limescale, also reset to defaults but no change. But interestingly the wand seems to put out full pressure and the usual amount of water. Not sure whether the pump feeds both of these - but it makes sense that it would, which then has me wondering whether there is a fault with the pump at all. Any one here who can guide what may be the problem here and I can get it fixed.Thanks
@Wholelattelovepage3 жыл бұрын
Hi HN, Sorry to hear you are having problems with the Dedica. It may be a failing pump. A lot more required of the pump (higher pressures) when extracting espresso than when pushing small amounts of water (lower pressures) into the thermoblock boiler for steam. Descaling was a wise move just in case that was the issue. Assuming you have decent water quality and descaled per manufacturer recommendations over the past 2 years you can probably rule out scale build up as the problem. Marc

Thank you for guiding , then I guess it might be a failing pump😔

HELP! I just got the Gaggia babila, my first bean to cup machine, and don’t really know what bean I should get? I normally drink Cafe Bustelo any suggestions?
@davidpomponio23 жыл бұрын
Call then tell them they type of coffee you like and they will recommend a few coffee beans you might like I find the coffee you like very bitter but if that is you taste try will have a match. Make sure NOT to use an oily bean I purchased the Babila in January. GREAT MACHINE
@BruceClifford3 жыл бұрын
just don't use any dark roast or flavored beans as they can clog up the grinder with it's oils. I use Lavazza Super Cremea, but any of the whole beans Whole Latte Love recommends are all great. Just depends on what you like
@Wholelattelovepage3 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan, I'm not very familiar with Cafe Bustelo. I understand it's a Cuban style 100% Arabica. If the beans do not have visible surface oils then you can use them in the Babila. But, Cuban style espresso is typically made with a relatively dark roasted coffee and many dark roasts do have surface oils on the beans. You might try Barrie House Arrosto Scuro. It's a dark roast with no visible surface oils with notes of dark chocolate and caramel. It's bold and smoky with deep flavor: www.wholelattelove.com/products/barrie-house-arrosto-scuro-fair-trade-organic-coffee Couple tips with your Babila: For espresso use the flow control dial to restrict the flow for deeper extraction. As mentioned in this video start with your grinder set within a few clicks of the finest grind, full strength setting and high brew temp. As you work with a coffee if too bold or getting bitter notes you can back off the grind size or strength setting to correct. Enjoy your new Babila - it's a favorite machine of mine. I used oneas the daily driver in the studio for ~1 year. Marc

Hi mark can you help me to find my machine. Got loss in repair service
@Wholelattelovepage3 жыл бұрын
Hi MU, I spoke with our CS manager who informs me you talked to our CS dept today about your Expobar machine. Sounds like there was a delay in receiving parts. Probably will not make you feel any better but I'm in a similar situation. My Jet Ski went to shop in August for what was to be a repair completed in a week. I still don't have it back. Shop had to order parts from Asia and they were delayed due to virus. I call weekly for updates but they cannot give an ETA as they are swamped with other repairs waiting on delayed parts as well. Please fix my machine is about what I tell them every time I call. They say they are doing their best. I understand your frustration.

@Wholelattelovepage3 жыл бұрын
Hi LAR, Here are some recommendations in ascending price Gaggia Brera. It's a simple compact workhorse: www.wholelattelove.com/products/gaggia-brera-espresso-machine-in-silver Gaggia Anima Prestige has a detachable milk carafe for easy milk drinks: www.wholelattelove.com/collections/super-automatic-espresso-machines/products/gaggia-anima-prestige-super-automatic-espresso-machine Gaggia Cadorna Prestige has color screen, carafe, very customizable drink options and more. It's a best value with more features for the price: www.wholelattelove.com/collections/super-automatic-espresso-machines/products/gaggia-cadorna-prestige Bothe the Anima and Cadorna machines have lower priced models without the carafe. Hope that helps, Marc
