My Lab puppy goes crazy over a plastic water bottle!!! I supervise him and once he's gotten the edges really thin and chewed up, I throw it away. He can chew on one bottle for a couple of days.

Maddie loves her classic Kong and her Starmark Bob-A-Lot. She’s definitely good motivated. She also has a Kong ball that has grooves on the outside for peanut butter and holes on each end to stuff treats. She loves plush squeaky toys too but tears them up very easily.

Really good advice. I also love kong toys and yes you have to be careful it's good to see a toy and think that's cute but remember cute could also be deadly. I'm bringing home a puppy in a few weeks time I'm looking for a few toys to have here ready for her. Until I get to know her personality and how she wants to play and play with.

@@HowToTrainADreamDog I try to watch as many as I can before our new female min-pin puppy arrives between Oct 16 and Oct 25. Like I said in my other comments on your social media and Utube, I already have 3 male neutered dogs, 14 y/o doxie, 14 y/o cocker and 7 y/o minpin. Today I visited my puppy Lilly again at the breeder (a family we know personally - very good people) and I held her body on a blanket which I then let my 3 boys sniff and I told them repeatedly Lilly. I tell them about her many times and I imagine her in my mind and they read my mind. They all wagged their tails and kept sniffing the blanket. I have to tell you a story: a friend of mine rescued a cocker. She sent me a picture thinking I could adopt him but I couldn't because I already had 2 dogs and my husband did not want 3 at that time (2015) (how his mind changed, eh - now we will have 4). I thought about this cocker all night talking to him in my mind. Keep in mind, I never met him before. The next day when I went to visit him just to see him, he greeted me as if he knew me for a long time. The woman who was looking after him asked me if I knew him or met him before. I said "never" but I "talked to him" in my mind the night before. She couldn't believe it! It does work.

My Bernedoodles puppy is 11 weeks old. I noticed you showed the regular Kong, and nylabones (not the puppy ones). Can I give the non-puppy ones to him to chew on?

Yes, that's fine. With Kongs we usually go a size or two bigger than Kong recommends. Your puppy might not chew on it as much at first, but it'll still be a great thing for kibble or treats. We do like the bone-shaped Kong for puppies. It's easy for the puppy to carry around and has good openings on either end for licking.

My 2.3 lb 11 week Yorkie will only chew on a soft toy for a few minutes. Should I get some of these toys that look bigger than her? She is constantly chewing on shoes/socks/hands so I got her some whimzees that were just her size (all natural dental chews) & she tore them up!! Are those not good for puppies? Seems like I read the rawhide ones were bad. The small antler bone seems too hard so she won’t touch it.

I might be late but exercise seems to help with a lot of chewing. I recommend “Hartz Frisky Frolic” ball squeaky toy even tho its bigger than her probably. This is better for exercise but I think it would definitely help still.

Thank you for making this video! I'm wanting to find toys that will entertain my toy schnauzer. He loves to play fetch and chew up things he's not supposed to.....my kids leave their toys out. I have noticed he won't destroy a stuffed animal toy unless it has a squeaker in it. However, I want to find toys that will keep him out of trouble and happy.

I’ve used rope toys for a while, never had any issues with choking from any of my dogs. Obviously be careful if your dog is super strong, but as long as you get a high quality one made to withstand a lot of force and slobber, you should be fine. I really like the mammoth flossy chews on Amazon. They’ve held up really well and have some cool color options. Hope this helps!

My puppy is hit or miss with kibble. Even at feeding time. I mix it with a tiny bit of shredded chicken and she usually eats the kibble with the chicken. You can also try soaking the kibble in water or plain bone broth for a few minutes so it's softer.

Wow im late but my pup is way not interested in kibble. Only 6months old but shes been eating 1 part rice and 1 part chicken for a month or so. No problems and she loves it

As long as the peanut butter doesn’t have a ton of sugar and xylitol it’s perfectly safe for a dog :)

I got my puppy an activity ball. And she doesn’t get it. And she gives up on the Kong no matter what I put in. But she’s only 8 weeks old and a very mixed breed (rescue) she is so small she can’t walk up the stairs 😊

She's just a little pup, it will take time for her to adjust to the level if difficulty of those toys. Give it some time. 🙂

Another important thing to remember with frisbees for your dog is make sure it's soft plastic or a rubbery material or else they can break their teeth especially puppies and older dogs

I love the video but I hate people who squeak the dog toys just because my dogs get distracted and it's hard on me someone who weighs like 70/80 pounds to even walk a 139 pounds great dane by itself especially when he gets distracted but thanks for helping me out with my puppy problems

I personally do not recommend the Nyla bone I gave one to my 7 year old dog and I hear a loud crunching next thing I know she had eaten the entire thing and got pretty sick. If you want a bone please just get a regular bone.

Bones are just as bad if the same thing happened. You’re supposed to be closely supervising your dog when they have a nylabone because most are not edible. I would get a rawhide alternative.

Many dogs love the sound they make and it's a great brain activity for the pup to figure out how to make the toy squeak. So you might keep one or two in for your dog to enjoy. We want to always monitor our pups with their toys, though!
