Best Q50 Spoilers - And WORST spoilers too!

Everyone's tastes are different, obviously, and I do not mean to offend anyone with this video, but in my opinion, there are 3 or 4 style of spoiler that work best with the Q50 and one particular style that just does not work. Take a look at this video to see if you agree.

That's crazy I bought one in black last year, but ruined it trying to repaint and found it again in black. The first one I bought on eBay and the second one I bought on amazon

The q50s that comes with the stock spoiler is bolted on to the trunk. I unfortunately got m style spoiler and found out about the wholes. Just something to note when thinking of spoilers in you have the q50s.

That's a good point. They would have to consider finding a spoiler that would cover those holes or plan on making a plan to have them filled.

Not trying to be disrespectful to anybody but the Q50 reminds me of a curvy top heavy girl with 🥞 rear that disappoints a bit 🥲😂 First thing I did to my Q was add the M style spoiler it adds that little extra fluff that rear needs 😅

I have a CF M style spoiler, I can't stand the high kick duckbill spoiler. In my opinion on the wrong colors it looks like a big piece of carbon fiber stuck on the trunk lol.

If im q50 is silver/platinum would i still be able to get the same spoiler as you? I dont want it to look weird on it haha finally wanna do some mods. Gonna be the spoiler, the 3rd brake light diffuser,exhaust and lastly a tune. Should i have any major issues with my car after doing any of those things? Also if i need to replace my brake pads do you recommend a certain shop or buying my own? I dont wanna spend a shit load of money but i do wanna make sure its completely in shape you know! Great content btw!

Spoiler should be the same. Just confirm the year when you buy. Shouldn’t have any issues with the items you mentioned. Brakes are easy to do with basic tools. Best way to save money.

Lol you had to dog the impul!? I like it if done right. The concept 400r skyline wing looks pretty good but it has yet to be duplicated or manufactured for sale. The m style I have on mine, but im starting to heavily lean towards an active aero wing

They look great. Do you think there's a point in designing a "high kick" spoiler where drag becomes an inherent flaw? Buy it for downforce/looks, but nice drag coefficient goes above 0.30 maybe?

I actually mentioned this my my recent fuel mileage video. I believe the spoiler I have has had a negative impact on my 0-60 actually

@@SpeedCultureStudios Sounds about right. Killer looks though. By the time Infiniti released the Q, you would have expected more OEM-made options to personalize the body of a Q50. I hated the chrome OEM spoilers on late G's, I'm lucky to have the body painted version on this Sport trim.

So I have a white Q50S and want to put a aftermarket spoiler on it. The trunk lid has holes in it from the stock spoiler which don't get covered by most spoilers. What would you recommend or ones you know of that would cover the holes? Do I get the holes filled or get a new trunk and then put the spoiler on. If I fill the holes I don't want it too look like crap.

The only real options to cover the factory holes are to pay a shop to weld and seal them shut and run whatever spoiler you want or get what I have which is the Krotov duckbill that he doesn’t mention in this video. The aftermarket spoiler options leave the two center holes clearly visible.

Hey I got your exhaust set up and I was shooting flames and now I think the muffler is done for it was opened up and had it welded back but it’s leave this thining sound like emptiness especially at high rpm’s

Lol blew it up. Borla will replace the muffler if it failed. Just don’t tell them about the flames haha

Will these spoilers actually hold up against speed? Not sure if 3M tape will hold up against 140+ mph pulls.

Yes. If prepped properly, it will not come off.

They are good cars! They just cannot be tuned and isn’t much out there in terms of performance upgrades

my uncle and his wife have one, that thing is quick as hell im pretty sure they around 360hp or something and its been driven it all over california. can say the same thing about my friends q60 3.0t hes been to vegas and oregon no problems

@@Carub12 i've got a Q50 on certain angles it doesnt flow good with the car i'd need to widebody it to make it uniform, you could probably pull it off on a G37 it's just a really big spoiler so a widebody might do you better

Should I get a salvage title or clean title

Totally up to you. If you’re worried about resale, get a clean title. If you’re looking for a good deal and not worried about selling the car the salvage title may be a good option. Also depends on what caused the rebuild. Flood? No stay away.

I love my Krotov duckbill but I’m certain his comment regarding not slapping a piece of plastic on with 2 sided tape was in reference to the Krotov duckbill. I think it’s the best alternative to a carbon trunk you will find period but that said, everyone has different tastes.
