Eventually I will be buying a junker to rebuild and when that happens I will def Need to get a compressor setup running but for individual parts the cans do work just fine. Beauty marks haha, I like that!

I used the 3m 1” wide automotive tape from autozone for my duckbill and it’s not moved an inch. But I would have used the VHB if I knew the difference at the time!!

It will fit, the top of the trunk is same shape in all years. The difference is in the tail light buckets and the delete of the lower trim panel under license plate.

Thanks a lot! That was actually a custom mixed and filled can of color matched k23. Car Quest and many other auto body supply shops will mix it for you to spray if you have the code!

The grille is mounted to the stock bumper with hardware and would transition to a blitz bumper easily.

It could have warped in shipment. Heating the corners and lips then applying pressure till it cools will reshape the abs to your trunks contours!

The paint can be purchased online or at a paint store where paint mixing for automotive paint is done. Mine was bought at an advanced auto parts that had a paint mixing section. You give them the color code of the vehicle and they will mix it to match based on that code. The newer the car the better that match will be due to sun fade and all that affecting the original color.

Mine took 7 months but that’s because I bought it as a preorder before it was even produced. They average 2-4 weeks now due to Covid.

Mine took about 4-5 months. Everything is delayed when it’s coming from over seas currently. I’m sure the waiting sucks but it will come. They have a good response time when being messaged on Instagram. Hit them up on there and enquire as to what the status is; if you haven’t already.

Mine took months because I was the first one to buy it and the mold wasn’t even produced yet. I am hearing from other who have bought that it was only a few weeks wait now!

You may be better off than I am at doing this and knock it out quickly. My issue isn’t nothing with the kit because it fits wonderfully. What I don’t want to do is use rivets or screws but I also didn’t want to permanently bond it to the car in the event of a collision, the likely hood of the kit being repairable is greatly increased. That said the kit doesn’t sit flush enough in all areas to be bonded with tape so I’m still working a solution.

I had the paint color matched and put into aerosol cans at advance auto parts near me that had a paint mixing station in the back. I purchased the spraymax2k clear gloss from them as well. I appreciate the feedback!

So the clear needs to be 2k not 1k and have the hardener included. 1K clear doesn’t harden like automotive grade clear does and it will be prone to damage easier. If the lid has a red plug on top of it then you are good to go.

I bought spraymax base and spraymax 2k clear coat. My local advanced auto has a paint mixing station in the back and all they need it your paint code.

Since it is made of a fairly rigid plastic, I didn’t use any and have had zero issues with chipping or peel.

Other question it is this abs plastic ? Cause i saw in ebay this kind of wing but in fiber glass

The Krotov wing is abs plastic. If you’re seeing a fiberglass version on eBay then it’s a mold of the original and will prob not fit well.

They are a legit group. They also rebranded to Krotov wide body kits recently.
