Nice work, looks like a tight area! A tip would be to do a bit more planning ahead on a job like this, leaving the closest spar to the drop zone tallest would have made a much better rigging point for all those stems and when your done you have a rope in a pulley up there to the top and a open landing zone to just chunk that one down. What is that little pry bar thing yu have?

I’ve been doing some abrogation training but I’ve only been trained in roping and was told that the spike method wasn’t used anymore. In Sweden at least so I didn’t make the grade on tree cutting class. I think I’ll be more of use on the ground driving around delivering all kinds of goods and mail than up in the tree tops.

Next time don't de limb the entire thing and leave the spars up in the sky scraping the clouds. It would make your job a lot easier and you wouldn't have to waste an hour and a half climbing all the way back up to the top of that spar . Also like the guy said in the previous comments you should have left The spar closest to your landing zone higher than The spar farthest from it.you did good . Just keep working at it takes time and practice. An that felling bar is nice. But definitely not a necessity higher tip tie on the tagline a open pie. And decently experienced groundsman could have saved you a lot of that bounce up that spar. Just food for thought my dude

What a great idea using a prussic knot on your flip line for going all the way around the tree! It’s there if you want it and can be a normal flip line when you don’t need it. I like that better than a mechanical clip, the Prussic stays however you set it. Loose for going down and can be slipped tight to choke the stem when needed! Good job. Thank you! You have excellent taste in gear right down to the airstreams. Are those arbortec hi viz pants? I need to wear hi viz so I might as well lean into it. Rather than only black pants. I have a black pair of breatheflex pro UL pants and there really couldn’t be a better chainsaw pant, especially for summer. The Arborflex skins base layers are really thick so better for winter. But the storm skins are awesome. And you were in the top of the tree before I finished so obvious badass.

How come you didn't just leave your rope in tree the first time you went up rather than spiking up again

Haha, I'm self-employed and business is great. I don't rush things, and you don't have to either.

We weren't doing these trees all at the same time. Had to do them spread out over a month. We should have left a throw line up there, so I didn't have to climb the entire thing again, i know, and we did on some of the other ones. Thanks for watching. Check out my recent video, hope that's not as infuriating as this one haha
