Tree removal in an awkward spot. The tree was cut down because its annual growth and expansion was breaking up the wall and steps

Thank you Reg. Watching a 2 man crew dismantle a tree of that size safely is something I always will sit and watch. There are a whole lot of good, solid techniques being shown here. I am striving to learn everything I can and watching videos like this is a great opportunity for exactly that. Thanks for taking the time to shoot, edit and post up the video. Cheers Reg and keep yourself safe! 😎👍❤️🌲 Randy

Worked trees for 10 years and I’ve so much respect for this guy and the way he works. I have the same set of spikes, a fine choice sir x-D
@matthewpolo227 Жыл бұрын
What spikes are those ?
@aliray1165 Жыл бұрын
@@matthewpolo227 I think they are distalls, but I bought them on day 1 back when I didn’t even know what a brand was. I got lucky. The main components are the shin guard, Velcro and cup like action on the boot which all together holds the lower leg firmly in the right place instead of it twisting round and sticking into your shinbone for example. Buckles aren’t good enough because they always ratchet back on the tightest point and you lose some tension on each click of the ratchet. But they originally came with a foot on the actual spikes which is very bad design IMO, I got new replacement gaffs, straight ones and keep them razor sharp, this allows me to spike with low effort while the secure pads let me rotate and put pressure on the spikes while I climb, meaning I can lean out and get to stuff I wouldn’t normally be able to. I’m nothing special but this is my experience using them.
