This video actually worked on my 2005 ford focus. The guy who posted a video saying to turn the key eight times is WRONG!!! At least for a 2005 ford focus. I will say, you don't have to have your old key fobs for this to work, as I lost my old fob and this worked perfect for my two new ones. I think he was just saying in order for all your fobs to work, (if you have your old ones), they all have to be present. This is the only comment I have ever posted on KZfaq, that's how much I appreciate this dude. Good on ya mate!

Just wanted to say thanks for this video!! Just letting u know that it worked on my model too....I've been told that 2000-2007 Ford Focus lines are all very similar when it comes to parts & repairs. I've got a 2006 Ford Focus SE ZX4 Sedan that I bought used & it didn't come with any keyless remotes, since it was a repo from it's original owner. I followed the programming instructions included with my new replacement remotes but nothing happened. I followed ur directions as I was watching ur video for first time. By the time u were re-showing the programming steps, I already had my remotes programmed and working perfectly!! That really was much easier than the provided instructions I received with my remotes, which never worked.....even after 8 tries! I followed along with u as u were explaining them & both of my new remotes were programmed & working correctly before ur video was half-way done!! That was just awesome! Twice now I've fixed my own car without having to bother my husband :-) I've fixed it myself.....let me tell u that's a feat in itself cause I can't even use jumper cables without damaging my car or someone else's!! For me to be able to follow ur video's instructions on first try without damaging my car further is just amazing!! So, thanks for helping me to be able to more independent with my car's repairs & maintenance!! :-)

I haven’t gone out to the car to try this yet, it thank you very much for taking the time to teach this. I got a fob today at a yard sale for one dollar. I’d been told by a dealership that it would cost as much as $225 to buy a fob and program it. Thank you again, very much.

Sir, I can't thank you enough for posting this. Very easy instructions and straight forward. I just did the same on my 2006 ZXW and my 2005 ZX4. so this procedure works also on the 2005 and 2006 models.

Thanks for posting. Sorry you had to go through all that trouble to figure it out. After watching this, I actually found the instructions on page 56 of the manual. There's also a toggle code if you want all doors to unlock together rather than just the driver door first. Just hold down the lock and unlock buttons for 4 seconds. Repeat to switch back.

Great and I did not have to have my seat belt on or the door closed .. Tried it that way just for the hell of it and it worked.. Mine was a 2006 focus ZX5 4 door hatchback, maybe different for your 2007 being that you had to close your door and put your searbelt on.. thanks

If getting replacement remote units to program, be sure you match up the "FCC ID" that is imprinted in small print on the back of factory remote with the FCC ID list of the remote you are getting. For example, the FCC IDs that match up with my 2002 Ford Focus ZTW wagon is GQ43VT11T and the FCC ID for my 2006 Focus ZX3 is CWTWB1U331. If the listing for the keyfob you are thinking about buying contains an entry for an FCC ID that matches your master keyfob's FCC ID, it should work. Note that the replacement keyfobs will typically list several FCC ID's they are compatible with.
