BEST RIDE IN SANTA CRUZ - UCSC Mountain Biking

This was a very fun ride for me as I was able to use my new bike. I recently switched from a Kona Honza hardtail and upgraded to an Ibis Ripley and love it! Unfortunately, I cannot offer up trail names or a MTB Projects link for this ride as there is no designated trails so its best to know someone who does.

If u look on all trails its called felix the cat chinquatin trail in santa cruz if u zoom in u can see trail names listed private but they are available to the public for mtb. basically from the rock garden you go up straight until you see a 3 way fork behind you then go left and take every right turn until you find a big stump then you go right and you can choose from 3 trails magic carpet (fast technical). sweetness (intermediate flow). and airborne a jump trail with a lower techy section

Just remember this area is Notorious for juvenile mountain lions chasing anything thing that moves, but one of my fave places to ride

Hey gentlemen quick question. I have a fully carbon fiber e bike, wheels and everything that weights 100lbs. I'm light weighing only 150lbs, would i get looked at wrong if i rode out there? Serious question, i just want to be respectful and not step on anybody's toes. I have 3 inch knobbys on my bike and it looks like a straight dirtbike.

I would say that you have a choice to do whatever you want to do.. That being said, I don't think the general public or riders on the trail would like to see that.

They are illegal trails anyway so you can do whatever you like. Have fun riding!

Glad you enjoyed the trails, looked like you had a great time, please remove this and your other UC videos, posting these trails is disrespectful to the local riding community and further stresses an over tapped illegal unsanctioned riding spot. Sincerely, an angry Loc
