Nice video, the anvil in the Kobalt was skipping. It wasn't broken, just something that happens when impacts are put in a high load situation.

i liked both tools but from what i saw i feel it was slightly biased towards the kobalt tool also the 2 amp battery vs 3 amphr would have liked to have seen a even match in the battery packs
@corin164
@corin164 2 жыл бұрын
Both impacts are impressive. However, with equal work (i. e. wattage) the difference in voltage makes the lower voltage impact use more current (i. e. Amps). More amps results in higher heat and overtime, the degradation of the components. I'm sure Milwaukee installed "heat sinks" to compensate, but the question remains are they going to be enough over time?

If you’re trying to save money download the “OfferUp” app on your phone and buy dewalt or Milwaukee tools on there. They’ll be the same price if not cheaper then the kobalt if you’re in a major area there’ll be a ton of people selling there tools

Kobalt is good. Used tools = no warranty on your hard earned money. Think smart. Even rigid is good with that lifetime. I have my kobalt tools took me year and a half but finally got the combo kit for $400

Awesome vid thanks for the info you should talk about price difference between the 2. Also, I would watch out over tightening lugs on your ram. Over torque can warp rotors damage threads or in some cases snap lug bolts. I'm sure you know this but just looking out. I would make a test block or something just offering ideas not trying to tell another man how to do his work on his equipment.

I originally had the Kobalt but it couldn't even loosen the bolts on my brake caliper so back it went and I bought the Milwaukee. They need to make an xtr version of it with way more power. FWIW it couldn't even match the torque on my xtr 1/4" impact driver.

I've seen on many channels of good tool guys the Kobalt beat the Milwaukee by alot. the Kobalt does over 300fp while the Milwaukee can't pass 300fp.
@jbhk7977

Don't let numbers trick you into believing Kobalt is better than Milwaukee. Maybe Milwaukee is more expensive and has a "little less power" but there's a world of difference in reliability and quality. You can put 24 or even 48 volts in this system/design, but you are limited to the physics of that limited space in the head of the tool (anvil and hammer size) Milwaukee has it nicely balanced, 12v and lot's of safe and long lasting torque, whereas Kobalt (at least that's my feeling) had to crank up the volts to 24v to surpass Milwaukee specs and attract customers. In this case "a little less is more".

@@jbhk7977 Lower voltage causes an increase in amps on equal work. More amps is higher heat.. so if anything Milwaukee may be pushing the battery and motor to their respective extremes to push this much power out

Yu better check again. Milwaukee wins. The torque channel uses his dynometer, which only measures torque, and not the impact mechanism which is as important. I prefer REAL tests on real bolts...... check out the vids below. Would love to see what the torque channel guy has to say about it. You can't argue real results. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f6qlp7eknLGpe4k.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLKEdsSV2trakqM.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/it2cpcd4ucW5Y3U.html

This field, car repairs, like photographers, all claimed to be pros. But then why do they still have to buy their own equipment? My daughter, an engineer & an scientist, get her equipment free and uses her company credit card to buy. My staff, many pros & I also get paid to use equipment /or toys. Its just too many are forced to buy their own tools & equipment to work for someone, shops & dealerships.
