There isn't a better watch for $500. Quality is unmatched.

With an 8” wrist I went for the 42mm version, I ditched the bracelet for a vintage brown leather strap, which makes it very period. It is probably the most worn of my 12 autos. Thanks for the good video👍

I owned this watch and loved it. Quality, mil-sub homage and looks. All outstanding. Had to sell it because apparently I can't keep an automatic watch running anymore. I'm in a wheelchair and although I'm moving a computer mouse all day with my watch hand, it runs down and finally stops after about 5 days of continuous wear. Same thing on a Cronos Sub Homage. This after a proper initial hand winding. Too bad. Looks like quartz from now on.

I have the same wrist-size. Owned the 42 OVM, sold it and bought the 39. Not only does it look better on my wrist, it's also the more "appropriate" size for a vintage piece like the OVM. Can't say enough good things about Steinhart. I currently own four 39mm O1s (mostly vintage models) and I couldn't be happier with them. Their quality is incredible for the price, the regulation from the factory is excellent and I've been getting quite a lot of compliments for these watches from all sorts of people. 8:30 Not sure if it's exactly the same size hands on the 42 and the 39, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were. The 39's hands definitely reach further out towards/into the chapter ring and when you see both watches side by side, the 39's hands look a bit out of proportion. Doesn't bother me that much, because it's not really noticeable when the 39 is "on its own", but it's a point worth mentioning.

Nice review, I have the 42 v3 but I tend wear it on a nato for that authentic milsub feel, fixed bars on the real thing. Subscribed.

Great review. I liked the strap show, as it's very useful for folks like myself with 6½ wrist. Also, thanks for pointing out the ghost position (as we would expect the keyless works to be modified at the listed price).

Great review. I'm looking at purchasing one of these and was curious about 39mm or 42mm. But with the different straps, I think the 39 still looks great. I have the same size wrists as you. So I think this sealed it :) Cheers!

Great review, Thumbs up given 👍 As for the hands, you are both right and wrong. True, the 39mm and the 42mm have the same size handset. But what many do not realize is that the 39mm and the 42mm have the exact same size dial. (the bezel width was adjusted to accomodate the shrinking of the case size down to 39mm) So while visually the hands may seem bigger on the 39mm version their size against the dial is exactly the same on both models. So the difference you've seen is actually an optical illusion.

Hm, Steinhart states the weight as 170g. Must be with all links included, but I'm glad! 150g is perfect for a watch like this!

Nice Review, I have the same watch. I love it. The only thing that bothers me is the stiff bezel. I didn't manage to fix it. Over all it's a beautiful watch and it will be a keeper.

Why is it you never once showed us the clasp mechanism? That is the most important part of the bracelet. Its JUNK that is why. Are you being paid for this advert?
