@Don Davis Hey there Don! We were there for a week and would have extended our stay, however, we had some packages being delivered up in Jackson that we had to pick up. My only advice, don’t stay there on a holiday weekend. Lots of people ended up crowding the tip of the peninsula and their kids had.a ball racing their 4 wheelers right past our camper (over and over and over again). After the weekend when they were gone, it was sooooo peaceful and serene.

@Laughing Ram I'll have to look that canyon up. Have not heard of it before. Your recollection is correct. He warned us not to try going down into the tamarisk with our larger rigs. After seeing it, I would say he was right. It got windy where we were as well. Made the mistake of leaving our pop up canopy out while we went out for the afternoon. A storm came through and destroyed it. 😢 $100 later, lesson learned. As always, thanks for watching and commenting Ram!

@@EddieAtLarge Grand Adventure tried to go to the Lamoille Canyon in episode 220, but was not able to because of landslides and it is now closed indefinitely. Sorry about the pop-up. In our earlier days of tent camping, we came back to our camp with our tent blown into a nearby Bob-wired fence. Fortunately we were able to get it unhooked while the wind was blowing and get it relocated further inland into the lee of some thick brush. I was ready to just pack it up and head home, but we persevered and ended up having a great time. That was at a place called Ocean Cove, which is located just north of the Russian Fort Ross on the coast of California. Beautiful area along the Pacific Ocean. Ram

Ya, can’t even imagine traveling down that river like those guys did not having any idea of what they would run into. You’re right, not sure they make ‘em like that anymore. Hi Kim, the road in was actually very good. It is a dirt/gravel road with washboard, however, it was one of the better dirt roads that we've traveled. There are some places to turn around once you get down into the lower area and you should be fine hauling your 5th wheel and UTV trailer. However, I would recommend scouting with your UTV or truck and securing a spot before heading down as it will get busy for the holiday week. There's a pulloff at this location that we used to drop the camper and scout: 40.967575, -109.465794 Hope that info helps. Have fun out there!

@Nancy A Thanks Nancy! This was actually filmed all the way back in late May/early June. Temps ranged between 65F & 85F for the highs and were in the 40s overnight for lows. It was a wonderful stay.

@Crypto Overdrive Hey John! We are doing well, thank you. You will love it there. We were there in end of May / beginning of June and it was fairly warm at the time. So, really perfect timing for you to get out there. Temps ranged from 65F to 85F while we were there with lows in the 40s overnight. I will say though, if you'll be there Memorial Day weekend, you'll most likely have some issues getting a spot on the peninsula. We got there early in the week prior to the holiday and got pretty lucky to have secured the spot that we did. When you go to Pinedale, check out boondocking on Soda Lake. Easy access with good cell service and great sites. We'll have a video coming up soon for that as well. Glad to hear you'll be expanding your travels!

@@EddieAtLarge Thanks for that info! Yes I was definitely thinking in terms of the weekend traffic at that awesome boondocking spot. We will have our 2 granddaughters with us so we opted for more reliable travel plans. We will definitely check out Soda Lake while we are in Pinedale. We have reserved our 6 day stay at Freemont Lake campground but will be exploring that whole area for sure and maybe we'll get crazy and do a little filming. I know of some good KZfaq channels to learn from :-) Cheers!!

@Crypto Overdrive Good call on the reservations. Soda Lake was much easier to get a spot when we were there in mid-August. Sounds like you'll have a good time with the kids. Freemont Lake is nice too and Pinedale is a cool little town. Yes, do some filming! It's nice to have the memories to look back on.

No kidding! Ya, we won’t return to that spot for that reason. Damn Grand Adventure! 😆
