BEST RV PARK LOCATION TO SEE MILWAUKEE WISCONSIN! NEXT TO AN INTERCONNECTED BIKE TRAIL SYSTEM WITH HUNDREDS OF PAVED MILES. Take a quick tour of the Wisconsin State Fair RV Park with us! It is nothing more than a safe, level, clean, reasonably priced, full hookup parking lot. But the beauty of this park is the PERFECT location. You are smack dab in the middle of anything you could possibly want to do. This park borders the Hank Aaron Bike Trail, that leads to the Oak Leaf Trail that then connects to the New Berlin Bike Trail.
Come along with us as we ride our recumbent bicycles 14 miles ONE WAY to the Waukesha Friday Night Live Music Festival in Downtown Waukesha Wisconsin. After dancing, dining and socializing, we will then show you what it is like to ride home in the dark along these same trails at MIDNIGHT.
The rechargeable headlights on our bicycles that we are using on the way home are simply amazing. Without lights of this caliber, you can easily "out run" your lights ability to shine the way for you safely. We have added these to our bicycle riding section in our Amazon Gear Storefront for those that are interested in seeing "what the heck are those lights Sue & Mark were using!"

OJiM (Our Journey In Myles) is a channel for fun, sharing and exploring the wonders of Full Time RV Life,…... together with you. Sue & I are not RV or RV Travel experts, and are learning as we go along in our RV Living. We are willing to share our RV Newbie experiences and what works for us as a couple in our Class A Motorhome we have named “Myles." We encourage you to do your own research, and to develop your own special style, whether it be in a Travel Trailer or a 5th Wheel. We will never be an expert on any subject, but will document the RV Tips & Tricks we learn from our experiences along the way for you to judge. We started our journey in miles by learning from many RV Vloggers that we still subscribe to today. We hope that you will consider subscribing to our channel to see what we did in each of the states we have visited already, to help you better plan what to do when you get there on your adventure!

Downtown Waukesha WI is a really safe town,.........especially with the entire festival crowd "milling around" the bikes during the music & fun. Someone with a bolt cutter would really let the cat out of the bag! We carry really special, big Kryptonite Brand locks & cables. Hoping that is all we need!

@@OurJourneyInMyles I hope your right, Maybe it because I've been in Law enforcement for to long but I see nice things always becoming a target. I also use two Krytonite locks on our electric bikes while there on the rigs bike rack, but as you may or may not know, that only keeps the honest man, honest. Safe Travels and will be waiting on your next vid.. Thank you

Nice video. You two look like you have so much fun. Dancing, dinner, and a midnight bike ride. I am pretty much a morning bike rider and I have never rode at dark. I guess I would worry about getting a flat or something. The lights you use looked very bright and got you home alright.

Yes! You will find that is the issue when trying to stay during ANY State's Fairground Weeks at almost every one we have come across. We have probably stayed at 10 state fairgrounds. They can be a real bargain AND get you in a good location being a tourist. They are usually NOT good camping choices.

Sue is working on another video were we take the Hank Aaron Trail eastward towards Lake Michigan. We go by the rear garden area of the Harley museum, on our way to the Collectivo Coffee shop on the Lakefront. The Harley Museum is a cool place. Went to parties there,......ate in the restaurant,...had drinks,....BUT NEVER WENT INTO THE MUSEUM!

See this episode for how we transport the bikes. YUMA AZ CANAL BIKE TRAIL-STUFFING TWO RECUMBENT BIKES IN HONDA ODYSSEY-EP43 The short answer is we tow a 2013 Honda Odyssey EX-L Minivan. They fit perfect in there and therefore never get all beat up from the weather.

We LOVED our RANS Stratus LE long wheelbase recumbents! We logged about 5000 miles on them in 10 years. I thought about electrifying them, but didn't want to be doing "stability" engineering on the fly while investing $1500 in each one. We ended up buying Elux brand Malibu GT model bikes. We will report on them after we have a few hundred miles on them.

Not many cities that we traveled to have anything as cool as the Waukesha Friday Night Live Festivals. The one exception that does come to mind is one that is held numerous times during the "high tourist season" in Downtown Fort Myers Florida. Check out our episode #15. It is a really classy affair.

I hate to put a sad note of full time RVing. I have a couple of questions if I may ask please? In light of the recent incident of a husband and wife couple RVer's being killed by a nut case who stole their truck and 5th wheel trailer rig and was seen heading into Mexico. 1: Have you noticed if full time RVing gotten more dangerous since you started RVing? 2: Have you implemented or will you implement stronger self protection measures in light of recent events? Thanks Gary K

We have been full timing now for 2.5 years, and only stay in campgrounds. This means, that you are virtually surrounded by people that are in the same boat as you. We do not boondock, do no Walmarts, no rest stops or stealth camping. We feel that is for people with more adventure in them than us,.......we are spoiled,.......and older,........and like our full hookups with continuous hot water. We have NEVER felt unsafe,.........except while driving. People still cut in front of your 65 foot rig as if you can stop. I would not be able to. They are taking an extreme chance. I am 22.5 tons of rolling fun. I give everyone whatever room they need. I am not in a hurry. Our style of touring (not camping) keeps us in very populated areas,......basically nothing remote at all. Others will have to way in on their experiences, but I can only tell you that feeling alive, well, free and safe is what RVing has meant to us. We have NEVER had anyone talk about feeling unsafe on the road in general "campfire" talks, when staying in a place designed for you to be staying in.
