I have some exciting Garrett Storm news, and had my best save of the year in this video.
Metal Detecting on a beautiful day, with beautiful countryside, finds were only a bonus, and I went home with a warm heart knowing I had saved some lambs, not the usual saves, but they were defiantly more needy, the treasure can wait till next week,

Digger Dawn Sheep Hero!!! I hope the little fellow was ok after the farmer came out. Glad you got to save two sheep if you couldn’t find any Gorge the III’s to save for history. Next dig you get a few silver 6 pence to save and add to your collection. Good luck with the next Garrett Detector!!!

excellent save!! you couldn't know that lambs are quite delicate and the farmer should have been notified immediately; or perhaps you did that and didn't film it. the poor creature would most certainly have died stuck in that gate in the sun.

You can see the Roman Road in your opening shots going left to right. Will carry on watching 😊 Look at the area on Lidar or even Google Earth. Detect the road. Well done saving the sheep. The last one needed water I reckon.

That red thing you took out of the ground. It looks like it was unraveling and it made your metal detector go off. It looked like a heat tape, which is something you would put around pipes to keep them from freezing in the winter.

Good save with the sheep. Booths gin was popular in the 50s. Before your time naturally but it's still a historic artifact. 😂😂

Dawn,you might be a lamb whisperer 😅 I have great news over here,I just secured a massive field permission!!! I won’t be able to get to one until autumn,as a crop has been planted. But the second one,and I have a question regarding it,it has not been tilled(plowed?) for years,and the land owner says it’s very rocky as well. This is not ideal,is it? I wouldn’t know,all I know is the land owner has found stone adze heads and an axe from early 1800’s! And I got these fields all to myself,never properly metal detected!! I will go there in late June (same time as you’re in Italy)!

That Lamb looks like it has Staggers. It’s a magnesium deficiency. An injection of magnesium and it will be fine.
