What are the most popular semi-autos? Makers in the running are Benelli, Beretta, Browning, Hatsan, Remington and Winchester. Back in March 2020, we sent out surveys about what kit the viewers of Fieldsports Channel use. Out of the 3,500 replies, nearly 500 are responses to our questionnaire about semi-autos. These are the results.

My all time favorite for hunting is the Benelli Ethos 12 ga. Second is the Benelli Montefeltro Silver 20 ga. Third is the Remington V3 Field Sport 12 ga. Last is my Remington 1100 20 ga. For defensive shotguns, Benelli M4 then Beretta 1301 Tactical. I also like the Remington 870 and Mossberg 590 pumps. My grandson loves his Mossberg Maverick 88 20 ga too.

Entry level benelli semi auto in my opinion is the best semi auto. I believe it’s their “m2” line but you can get the same system in different models. Something for home defense. Hunting. Sporting. 3 gun. You name it.

I'm still using my browning gold hunter, my bank account laughs me but so far my browning been bring any game I aim at with a good season licenses

A 300 is my Choice but I do have a 5 shot wood Franchi and it’s really good oll round the local Gun Shop ware I say have Sammy autos A T A and for 500 pound they are superb I have used one a few times and it will even recycle clear pigeon cartridges the lighter ones as well so I wood highly recommend one escort Hassan well if you dont much to spend it’s just the job does exactly as it says on the tin and if something goes wrong parts are readily available and very reasonable

Browning Maxus are the best even recycles 21g had a Hatsan never recycled well at all.🤦‍♂️

Isn't that interesting. Im betting it was price that was the deciding factor. The greed of the major gun manufactures left an opening for Turkey to get in the game. Alot of their shotguns are beautiful and work as well as the overpriced Berreta, Browning and Browning. Congratulations!

Spot on. It is always about value for money. Why should a sports shooter be expected to spend thousands of pounds on an auto shotgun. The european shotgun manufacturers better get their act together or they will see their market disappear. What they will probably do is to import Turkish guns under licence or some sort of re-branding deal and sell them at a reasonable price.

It seems like you prefer foreign makes over USA makes. For my money a Winchester Pump action is the best shotgun you can buy. In the right hands it can be be shot faster than a semiautomatic. Would not own a foreign shotgun.

FYI, the newer Winchesters SXP and SX4's are foreign made. Unless you're referring to an older model Winchester pump action, like a 1200 or 1300.

Anything but Beretta terrible guns I’ve had three Berettas not semi automatics but problems with all three two 9 mms and a silver pigeons NO warranty exists they wanted to send me parts I’ll take a maxus 2 or a sx4 anytime over a Beretta

Then you haven't shot a Retay Masai Mara. Love how Benelli sells many of their high tier shotguns for $1700 - $3500, but can't even manage to fix their Inertia "Benelli Click" problems. Turkey's "poorly" made Retay Inertia Plus was the solution to Benelli's problem, as well as a fix to many others. Brainless sheeps who buys into brand name instead of the technology behind the guns.

The Turkey made Retay 3.5" Airking retails for $1600. Lol. But sure "cheap skate" keep drinking that kool aid and keep blindlessly buy into brand names.
