BEST SHINY Pokemon Hunting Method - Pokeradar 17 Shiny Chain - Pokemon Brilliant Diamond BDSP 1.1.3

Hey All! just wanted to put out a video talking about ALL the ways that you can shiny hunt in the new Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Games for the Nintendo switch. I will breifly cover shiny breeding via the Masuda Method, Underground Shiny hunting and the newly updated Pokeradar 17 Chain Shiny hunting method (as well as the changes made in version 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 of the game).

I’ve tried after seeing your video, stopped at 17, refreshed the green patches 5 times and got my first shiny Roselia, spent hours on the 40 chain streak with no results, so I guess it’s worth to try it out

I love this channel because it is all real and does not attack anyone doing cheating or exploiting (whether mild like soft resetting or extreme like PKHex) or stuff like that

Caught two Starly's almost next to each other on a 17 chain. Tried it again for Wurmple and spent hrs and almost 200 super repels. Decided to give up so I figured doesn't hurt to try and build up the chain. Ended up getting a 40 chain for Wurmple. Chain ended right after the shine, but I managed to get the shiny. lol

not that it matters a ton if you've got pokedollars to burn but, super repels are actually the best pokedollar per step kinda thing

BTW the correct ratios are: 1 perfect IV at 20 2 perfect IV at 30 3 perfect IV at 40 5 perfect IV at 100

Great to know. I’m close to completing national dex so I’ll be giving this a go. Question - if I wanted to get the perfect IVs on the 20 of the chain, should I stop at 19? Then the 20th catch would be the hypothetical shiny… I think

Well I've seen a few vids about shiny hunting on this game and no one added the fact you can just reset the pokecatch over and over so yeah this was more useful than the other ones xD

Idk how I feel about this "17 method" cuz I literally did it for 2 almost 3 hours with no shiny . And ran put of resoreses. Tried again with the same results . And still have yet to get a shiny a a 17 chaine doing it over and over . Kinda pissed off if I'm be honest!!

I’m genuinely annoyed because when I started shiny hunting I had no idea of resetting the patch’s though 50 steps and the clefairy I was going for I had a chain of 53 😩😩 and then it broke FML , RIP 😩😩😩 I will now try this 17 step method , cheers my dude you’ve earned my sub ✌🏻

@@justme-dh5ri yeah 53 chain my dude and then it broke 😩😩 that was before I knew about resetting the radar , first time ever hunting on this game for shinies and I feel like giving up I got 1 lucky shiny with kriketot in the underground ( full odds ) no diglet method , I’ve managed to get myself a 6iv Italian ditto as well through trades ( after Pokémon home came out ) as I breed so much it’s unreal and I’m still yet to get a shiny through the masuda method , my shiny luck is poor on this game , on sword I managed to get 57 shinies ✨

i was trying to hunt shiny ralts for almost over a week BY USING THE RADER method but ran out of repels when i hit 39th chain😞

I tried the 17 method trying to catch a shiny mareep. Got to 17, kept resetting the radar about 40 times, still never got the shiny patch? Had to stop coz my repels were running out. I don't know whether my odds were still against me because I dont have a shiny charm?

(Im a little late to the party BUT) I'm having 'issues' updating my switch to 1.0.0. Is it possible for me to shiny hunt with the PokeRadar without the counter? I cant obtain the counter since Ramanas Park is unaccessible. (Yes I've beaten the elite four and saw 150 pokemon and got the national dex)

I did this method for weeks and got nothing, but when I chain like normal I get a shiny mareep. i doubt this method is any good.

I got to chain 40 and caught like 22 Ralts but they don't even have 4 perfect IVs, is it like a chance to get max 4 IVs or is it guaranteed 4 IVs? Coz it doesn't freaking work. lol

The coding is broken; you're meant to get them for each chain after 40, but you actually only get 4 perfect IVs on the 40th chain

159 max repels (thought close to 200 would be enough) on 17... almost 5 hours... one mess up did NOT break the chain.... no luck.... I need a change of route and a new pokemon, I'm gonna try again and keep you updated
