My Rains EDC sling bag was torn down after several years of usage. So I bought myself a new one - Tomtoc Minimalist EDC Sling Bag. And in this video, I am trying to fit my Steam Deck in it. So wish me luck :)

FANTASTIC review!!!! I appreciate the detail and demonstrations! I also found myself looking for slings, wanting to move to a more compact than my Chrome Kadet. I started watching videos and the TomToc kept popping up! I got the Xpac version and I LOVE it! I'm a wider guy and the strap is more than long enough. Only after it arrived did I realize all my laptop bags were TomToc! Clean lines, room for everything needed but not tons more, I think of them as a better-designed laptop sleeve that I then put in my larger work bag. @@filvaliulin

I recently purchased this bag directly from Tomtoc. I wanted the option to customize the bag myself. So far I’m loving it. I use it everyday. I’ll probably get another one to alternate.

if you want a steam deck bag thats roomy, i use the aer tech sling! my steam deck has a case with a travel cover, so putting that in the tech sling adequately protects it

anyone know if this would fit with the jsaux modcase on the deck? i wanted to be able to protect the joysticks while moving around, but the fit looks pretty tight already without a case

Thanks for the video but IMO this bag doesn't comfortably fit my Switch with Binbok controllers on it or my Steam Deck. My iPad mini did not fit well either. Just because I _can_ shove something into a bag with a bunch of careful effort doesn't mean it "fits". Bag is solid, but not for these uses unless you want to feel like you're messing up the analog sticks every time you take your device in and out. I'm still on the hunt for something slightly larger. Might check out the TomToc case specifically for Steam Deck next but it seems a little thick.

Thanks for the comment Brian:) Yep, I agree that you need to "shove" it a little. For me it works, I usually put there steam deck, documents/cards and a notepad. I "trained" myself to quickly put in and out the steam deck safely, so right now this is literally my favorite bag. And I used it while travelling. But again, this solution is not for everyone. I'm a little crazy and wanted the most minimal thing:D

there’s a tomtoc bag actually made and catered to the steam decks spacial needs. if you want your steam deck with you, you got the wrong bag

i needed a sling bag for edc so it was a bonus that steam deck fits there. dedicated sling for steam deck is too big and with mine - i've already been on several flights - and it is perfect size for me
