This video is fantastic if only from the standpoint that you have shown how the bags look on a person and from different angles. Even the manufacturers don't do this in their promo ads and product descriptions. The rest of the video is of good quality and has useful educational value. Well worth the view. Thank you.

I’m just randomly watching bags review videos on KZfaq and came across this channel. I love how clear the explanations and how he explains what does it mean by “the best” in his opinion. I love there is a lower to higher price point options. I’ve watched some other videos were just mumbling the entire time and kept calling some bags “entry level” and I have no bloody clue what did they meant. Keep up with your good work!

Thank you so much Maurice for the fair and balanced reviews of the three EDC Sling options. I went with the Tom Toc that was $36 after the coupon, I also went with the 7.5 L 11 inch version which came to $56 after the discount coupon. I now own well constructed bags with different capacities for the price of one. I’ve been wanting to purchase an EDC sling for over a year but could not make up my mind looking at the various models. Great review! To add onto the split screen portion: I’ve had this Alpaca bag for a year now and I’ve taken it on two international trips. I’ve been able to fit: my passport, cash, coins, my wallet, my iPhone 14 pro max, my kindle, sunglasses, chapstick, hand sanitizer, an umbrella, a portable fan, and sunscreen. It was pretty full at this size, but still had room for little things like receipts, random trash, or tissues.

Arc’teryx Mantis is my go to. I like how the straps actually turn at the connectors instead of sticking straight out of the bag in a single direction. This makes it waaaay more comfortable. I don’t care too much for their clothing, but the bags are nice.

I agree, having an extra zippered which partly hidden & closest to you is nice to have & can be used for passports & other important papers for travel. I just came back from 15 days London trip & I used sling bag for the first time & I’m completely satisfied with it. From now on, slings will be my go-to travel bag

Excellent review and information. I really appreciated the splitscreen overview. I have the Tomtoc and am generally happy with it. Their sizing has to do with the size of the screen of a device that fits inside. So the 8" Tomtoc fits my Kindle, and I'm told that it fits a Nintendo switch. If I wanted to bring my Tablet, I'd have to move up to their 11" size. Confusing at first, but actually pretty useful once you understand it. I can fit a water bottle inside the 8" sling, but when I do, there isn't much room for anything else. I haven't tried hanging one off of a carabiner.

As for the content, it somehow touches on all of the aspects of reviewing that I have always wanted when making informed purchasing decisions--namely, informative comparison of specific features ACROSS items and a real-time simulation of how they would be used day-to-day. You can also use the s-biner to secure the zippers closed. You can clip right through the metal zipper pull, but it’s small and finicky. I added a zip tie to the zipper pull to make it easier to clip it to the s-biner and keeps everything extra secure

I picked up the tomtoc recently, with a heroclip on top. Its been my work companion for the past few months. I have the same disappointment in the lack of a high vis interior, but elsewise love it. The only thing I think its missing would be a cable passthrough from the main to the front compartment (or even back) for charing my phone on the go.

A fan of your prrsentation style. I had been watching this video fews times now and other product reviews, yours truly gives the best insight coming from travelling and safety mindset. Pragmatic approach. I would go for AER Day sling 3 for the look, size though it's not ideal with fidlock when travelling abroad or seating on motorcycle 😉 that could be accidentally come undone. I would go for X-Pax fabric for lightness and better water resistance. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks.

Between the Alpaka Go Sling Mini, Bravo Sling, and Bravo Sling Max I’m covered for anything from 4-10L required storage. I’m a big Alpaka fan. The first two are great for travel use keeping essentials out of my backpack, while the Bravo Max is great around town, or hung off the back of the passenger seat if I’m road tripping. I’m new to your reviews, nice to see local Toronomans into carry and EDC!

I've been looking for sling bags that works for me as well, the back compartment as the video showed is really important, security, ease of use and the ability for it to compress and expand when needed is important for me as well, since there are days I carry more stuff than usual, but don't necessarily need a bag pack. The best one that works for me is from urban nature niid , R1 radiant urban sling. Been using it for a year now, has been worn out a little bit since I use it daily and so far so good. Would buy it again, hope you guys would search it out as well

Shoutout to AER City sling 2, it's an awesome sling since when I'm not traveling I use it as a hygiene pouch since the the belt part cant be stored into the sling and used as another pouch.

In my small bag I usually include a lightweight packable/foldable backpack in case I acquire something en route or need to carry a jacket if the weather warms up after I venture out.
