A lot of people have purchased this camera recently. There are ways to get some high quality photos out of this camera it just takes a few minor adjustments to the settings. Here is how I get the best possible resolution for my Sony a7III while shooting photos.

Thank you so much about the peaking settings for the focus. I shoot with laowa macro lens and it's manual focus. That info you gave is very useful for me. I was having a bit of trouble seeing the focus point. Thank you. Subscribed 👍😁

Shooting uncompressed definitely gives you more dynamic range for color grading.

Help! I have a musician in a fairly dark concert hall where the stage lighting highlights the face. I can use spot metering to take a reading on the face but how do I make sure that the rest of her body is wrongly exposed?! Cheers Geoff

I would make sure you take the photos in RAW format. Your other settings should mirror the ones I laid out and you’ll be able to print high quality football team photos

So some of my photos come out in KB and some In MB. how do I get all of them to come out in MB? I have a Sony a7 iii What setting should I do? Am I doing something wrong?

Most photos should come out in MB. You may have "JPEG + RAW" selected under file format, and if you switch it to "RAW" That would fix it. You may also have your JPEG image size selected as SMALL, but changing the settings from "JPEG + RAW" to "RAW" will solve this.

Good vid, very informative. When I shoot in raw with A7iii, the image transfers to phone gallery in 1 megapixel. It doesn’t matter if the file is compressed or uncompressed. But when I shoot in jpeg, the file is always transferred at 24 megapixels. Am I doing something wrong? Why only 1 megapixel in raw?

The a7iii can only transfer files to your phone in jpeg format, not raw. So if you shoot in raw, the camera just transfers a ''preview'' file to your phone. To get the raw files you have to use an sd-to-(whatever phone you're using, so lightning or usb-c) cable and plug the sd card straight into your phone. only then can you get the raw files on your phone without the use of a computer

I am sorry, but "wider focus of the image" doesn't make much sense. The "wide" focus area allows the camera to focus wherever it can in the whole available focus area. I think it gives preference to objects closer to the camera while trying to focus. Kindly correct me, if I am wrong; at best, I am an advanced beginner.

you are absolutely correct, wide is best when your trying to focus multiple objects for the shot but for a single object especially if shooting wide you might want to use "Center" or "Eye Lock" so it keeps tracking the subjects face or the entire object

I don't get why a company doesn't make a DSLR with a super intuitive interface like the iphone interface but with interchangeable lenses still. Whoever does this will absolutely dominate the market. These interfaces while super customizeable are mundane and outdated.

Totally agree, canon does a pretty good job with it. and the sony a7iv is okay as well. they are just super expensive
