I agree with you, Sounds amazing. I love the fact that he accepts that it's a v6, and set the exhaust up to embrace a v6 sound. Most people go wrong by trying to "make it sound like a v8" and end up with V6s that sound like one of those crapbox old pontiacs. Really great exhaust setup on this one, best 4.0 exhaust set up hands down.

This one sounds almost exactly like the 05 V6 I had. It only had an axle back, "dual exhaust" kit, but it was the best 4.0 I ever heard. This video conjures up good memories of the Mustang I had :'(

Its sounds great! Hired a V8 when I was in the States 9 years ago.....it broke down so the hire company sent a 4.0 V6. Honestly I preferred the V6!!! Less power I know but theres just something special about it

Nice, almost a vintage Ferarri sound. I run a y-pipe off the single factory pipe, then into dual Shelby GT500 take off mufflers. Similar sound, but no where near as loud. A real "sports car" sound that I really enjoy.

This is definitely one of the best sounding V6 stangs i've heard. Only thing that is slightly annoying is that infamous V6 rasp on acceleration. Other than that, this thing sounds beautiful. Especially when you were going through the gears with that flby

I just bought an 05 mustang today. Was told it was a v8. Until I traveled a couple hours to see it and find it was a V6....bought it anyway cuz it was still a good deal. Was a little bummed but hey the V6 actually sounds pretty good to me. Might put a muffler on it.

I have a question I recently bought a 2006 v6 Stang and was wondering if I should straight pipe it. It has pypes exhaust and custom headers. It sounds like a quiet storm. It’s a manual if that makes any difference. I love my v6 and wonder if it should have its own v6 sound or make it roar down my Suburbs lol

I was considering doing a long tube header swap for my v6, but after seeing this I'm reconsidering. I'd have to put a lot more money into it considering the swap (don't have the equipment to replace longtubes, cause of space, so I'd have to take it to a shop) and since I'm putting coilovers into it, clearance is a big issue. Here's my question: Did you stick with the stock manifold or did you go and replace it with a shorty? Also, how much clearance do you get from this exhaust and the ground?

+Angel Carrillo pypes xpipe costs 131, could have one custom made though. Then go on craigslist and find 05 gt downpipes and mufflers, I got mine for $70 total. Then exhaust sleeves/clamps figure 20-30$. I did my whole thing for about 250

Unfortunate, try hearing a v8 with a bassani x-pipe and mufflers going through a tunnel, fucking orgasmic. I rocked that setup but had to pass emissions so swapped to Magnaflow's catted-H. Not as loud but I pass emissions in my state and still get that badass v8 sound unlike your pussy ass v6\m/

@@McCalerb I won't argue I've heard some dope ass 6-cylinders at IDLE (and seen some astounding 1/4 miles) but they hit 2k+ RPM and just scream v6 and sound like ass. I love me some true blood American muscle through and through. Personally I don't care anymore about the Mustang scene, I love my '07 because it's the first car I fully bought ON MY OWN but end of the day it's just a car like any other newer model whatever. My Uncle gave my brother and I his restored '69 Roadrunner that is rockin a cammed 440 and that the car I care about now (he passed away this last sunday night(8/09). Some day down the line tho I'll get my dream '70 Mach 1 but one step at a time :) First thing is coming to grips with this baby and gettin her sorted out (few quirks here and there mostly lifter tick from the Comp Cams cam in her but with 10k on the rebuild my brother assures me it isn't something we need to tend to "immediately" but one of those "should get taken care of" type things Sorry for the long reply

I have a 2005 v6 mustang with dual exhaust (presumably from previous owner) and I installed glass packs a while back but I don’t feel that it sounds as good as it could. I want that raspy open throttle sound like the mustang in the video. I looked at the exhaust system in the video but it comes with a dual exhaust conversion and since I already have that I would just be throwing money away by buying the whole kit right? What parts would I need to make it sound like the mustang in the video? Any help is appreciated. (Not really a car person trying to learn tho)
