Mine has a flowmaster it dont sound bad at all

Mine has an X-pipe and 40 series flowmasters, sounds a lot like this car, just a little quieter and a little deeper toned

I would pay money to hear it lol. I only have a V6 limited Taurus but I want to add an axle back to it. I love how the engine sounds from the cabin, it has a flutter to it but it's too low to hear at high speeds

I don't understand how anyone can hate the symphony of an engine flooring it no matter the cylinder count. Honestly in your favor most v6 owners are teenagers buying their first cars so a crappy exhaust set-up from lack of knowledge is bound to happen.

Lol it only makes like 210hp in that fat ass car. Not necessarily slow but definitely not very quick

@@j.2391 There are plenty of mods for the 4.0 including cams, intakes, headers, ignition, superchargers, etc. Getting 280+ horsepower NA and 350+ on boost is attainable. They can hang or beat stock GTs of the same year with better gas mileage and insurance premiums. I built a cammed 2007 Taurus years ago that made 250 rwhp and ran 14.1 and 99 mph in the quarter before it was totaled by an uninsured driver. Building another one with a 3.8L in it and a five speed. Planning on swapping in a supercharger from a Thunderbird Super Coupe, cam, and tune.

My favorite v6 is the 3800. It is so much lower pitch even stock and much meaner than this 4.0

Found if you want the same volume but more depth/bass with a 6 you got up in exhaust size and just add some extra resonators/mufflers Some people don't like the little drone that comes from it How ever I myself dont have an issue with a bit of drone

@@psychedelicfrogs4904 honestly still think it comes to personal preference...but to me at least with these 4.0s h pipe definitely got more a rumble and deeper tone than x pipe...and in my opinion you kind get away with maybe going with cheaper mufflers paired with h pipe.

it would likely sound better....the pentastars sound good with a muffler, and resonator delete.., ...but at the same time, you're boosted.....turbos drain out the sound..

Actually they sound crappy with muffler and resonator deletes. They do sound good with a Solo Performance cat back though.

@@ragintaurusmusclemercury7023 and @NoTimezForGames I'll tell you both the set-ups I have had on my pentastar. And I am supercharged. In order. Resonator delete only - Meh Mufflers deleted next - straight pipe with cats - sounded the best for the low cost but I wasnt satisified. Next I went with super 10 mufflers - sounded ok but too quiet. So then I went back to straight pipe - still like this the best. Then my cat melted so I tried catless -true straight pipe,, and it sounded like total shit. So I went and got cats put on. Still not satisified with the exhaust I went and got the Solo Cyclone catback. This sounded ok but lots of rasp at 3500-4k rpms. Hated that. It was just too loud. Lastly I went and said screw it and got the Ripp Catback because I knew it would be toned down. It sounds ok but there is no deep sound to be found at all. Looking back at all I have done I think the straight pipe was best. I like how the ripp is 2.5" pipe. And the Ripp has 4 resonators/mufflers. So I might try removing the 2 in the rear and play around with the sound. the Solo exhaust was "meh" too dang raspy and loud.

@@SpeedWayDre 06 V6 here currently at 107,000 km so like 60,000 miles, already replaced transmission due to an oil leak which blew out reverse gear and spark plug wires are wearing causing misfire but other than that going pretty good

I had one of these up until 2018 before trading for a focus st2. It really wasn't that bad of a car for the time. Sure it wasn't fast like Mustangs today but at the time it wasn't bad. The GT of the previous year only had an extra 40-50hp over this car. Not saying I wouldn't take the previous year GT over this just stating facts.

May seem that way but his gauges probably went bad and don’t show the correct measurements, judging by how the RPMs didn’t even move when he revved it.
