I got as far as the Marantz unit, and started to write this comment. I did watch the rest.. To claim that the Marantz unit is hailed as the 4th best stereo amplifier is absurd. It is a very good stereo amplifier. But it is not the 4th best. It is not the 40th best. It might not be in the top 100. At its price point, it is very good, and a great choice. But it is not the 4th best stereo amplifier. That is like ranking cars, and claiming that the 6-cylinder Toyota Camry is the 4th best car. The Camry is a great car. But it is not the 4th best. Here are five companies who make stereo amplifiers. Any stereo amplifier from one of these companies is far better than the stereo amplifiers in this video: -- Aesthetix -- Audio Research -- Belles -- Quicksilver -- Ayre Acoustics Any stereo amplifier from the above companies will be built better, last longer, and sound better than the stereo amplifiers seen in this video (although sound quality is subjective, I am confident that anyone that would compare them in a listening test would easily hear how much better sounding the above five are). And there are scores more of other companies that make better stereo amplifiers than any of the stereo amplifiers in this video. it seems as if our host used random, well known companies that make mass produced stereo amplifiers, and created a video making wild claims about their rankings. Perhaps our host meant best stereo amplifiers for their price points?

Japanese AVR manufacturers love to exaggerate with their wattage. I'm just wondering if it's the same with the Japanese stereo amps.
