850+hp Challenger RT with procharger 14psi, american racing long tubes, catless mid pipes, stroked 400 6.5L v8 Hemi with 305 Mickey Thompsons. What is the best supercharger on the market is procharger? Whipple? Kenne Bell? Edelbrock? In this I would like to show you a Challenger RT with a procharger pumping out 14 pounds of air (750whp)!

Proper way is to build it from the ground up, new forged intervals, bigger injectors. Don't forget the driveline also needs to be beefed up also. Also, I would probably go with Whipple.

I did alot of research and I decided to go with the procharger. The thing I like most is when I upgrade I can use it on anything by just buying a few brackets. We started the car yesturday, man it sounds great. Hopefully I'll have the tune finished in a couple days. Flyinryan is a great tuner. This guy is so helpful. One thing I want to mention is the kit fit perfectly without any problems. Its tight but well designed. I'll be going on the dyno in about a month. I recommend procharger to anyone
@RTLife
@RTLife 5 жыл бұрын
I like how you can upgrade individual components fairly easily with a procharger type setup. I'm pumped for you man. Can't wait to hear how it's driving once the tune & everything is all loaded up!
@cory0702
@cory0702 5 жыл бұрын
That's a big reason I went with procharger, when I build my spare motor for handling major boost, I may go to twin tourbo. If that's the case than I can stick the procharger on my ram truck or just about anything. When you try to sell it your going to have to sell cheap. This way I just procharge my 5.7. Just need the mounting bracket. Maybe 300 tops every thing else is the same. We have started the car, it sounds so bad ass. Lol I'm just trying to be patient right now to everything perfect. It's too much money for me to take chances

I think the best SC depends on the focus of the car. I have a Scat with HC short block and a D1X making 780 whp that spends most of it's time at the track and an occasional cruise and an 18 Charger R/T DD that may never see the track that's getting an Edelbrock E Force 2650 in a few weeks. different goals and power levels get different S/C 's. my 2 cents

I have a procharger on my 392 challenger with a 6 speed. I’m pretty happy with how it operates. If your looking for best bang for your buck it will most likely be procharger or maybe even the RIPP kit. Unless it’s on special you will typically pay more for a roots or twin screw such as a whipple. Another consideration is torque. You will likely see a lower peak number on a whipple compared to a procharger but how torque comes in is night and day different.
@RTLife

If he is putting 750 horsepower to the ground and close to the same in torque, I don't think the drive train can support that power level. There isn't one major component in the drive train other than the motor that can support that kind of power. When you build a car more stuff breaks. The more you boost power, the more likely you are to break things. I wish the owner of this car luck and I hope that he gets many years of use out of R/T. With this type of build, I think you're better off investing in the supporting mods before building the motor. When it comes to a centrifugal vs a positive displacement supercharger, it depends on where you want to make power. Both superchargers will give you an increase in overall power. The positive displacement provides stronger low end grunt and midrange power while the centrifugal gives a higher peak number and more power overall at higher RPM. The positive displacement blower sounds cool too. I have the centrifugal because I can get the other type for my car.

Remember he hasn't tracked his car. Most of the people around me build up these cars & enjoy them on acceleration ramps /quick HWY pulls. Most don't beat the pants off of their rides because we just don't have a place for it. I hear you though on centrifugal vs roots blower. I'm personally leaning in this direction
@ronan9784
@ronan9784 5 жыл бұрын
He has a built stroker , so his low end torque is already there. I’ve seen nag1 making stupid power and holding up with just tcm and valve body. The only weak point I see is his axles.
@hu3.789
@hu3.789 5 жыл бұрын
The NAG1 is good up to about 600 foot pounds of torque at the crank. This car is putting down about 850 at the crank. In addition to the axles, the rear differential won't hold up to those power levels. A motor that puts down 750 hp to the wheels is like having an oven under the hood. That 2-1/4 diameter exhaust system is good for about 450 horsepower. That motor is making almost twice that. A 2-1/4 exhaust system can't get rid of the heat that motor can create if it is pushed hard. 750 at the tire is a big number. On a Mustang dyno a stock Hellcat will put about 590-625 horsepower at the tire.
@hu3.789
@hu3.789 5 жыл бұрын
I don't beat on my car either. I'm surprised that you're leaning toward the centrifugal. When you're not under boost, it's no different than driving your car right now. With the centrifugal, you won't really notice the supercharger until you hit about 4,000 rpm. If you're doing quick accelerations and highway pulls, the positive displacement supercharger is more fun. I hope you get to drive cars that both types of superchargers so that you can make an informed decision.
