from what ive seen he doesnt need crit/crit dmg and atk tho, you only focus spd and break effect stats. All of his dmg comes from re trigger breaks to a weakness broken enemy and break dmg doesnt scale from atk , crit stats and dmg bonus , it scales on Lvl , toughness shield dmg , break effect , def shred and elemental shred. So when building him , use the high break effect and spd substats from relics , doesnt matter the main stat.

@@Steel12ablethey’re idiots. The most possible optimized hybrid crit people performs as well as a pure break build. It’d be way better to scale up to like 300% BE rather than mediocre crit stats

boothill doesn’t need crit or attack. his actual stat damage is less than 10% of his final damage. so no. he just runs break effect and speed.

I'm surprised there was no mention of "Tankhill", which seems to be very popular target for people who are already grinding gear for him. Fully investing in Speed and Break Effect, leaving basically everything else to HP and/or Def.

@@JamesSmith-pi6hi u don't really need to, he has default 35/200 if u just build him 300BE, so a crit rate body is sufficient if u want crit

great guide as usual but I strongly disagree on ever putting Clara in a boothill comp. I think they have diagonally opposite gameplay, a disergy if you will. Clara wants enemies to attack her but they will not be doing that mainly because 1: they will be broken and delayed and 2: boothill's skill taunts the enemy so it draws the aggro away from her. I could see them together in content where there is a lot of AoE, but then again she will not be adding too much value as opposed to another harmony or a sub dps Luka. Talking about Luka, I think everyone is sleeping on him as sub DPS for Boothill as you can build him with full attack build and get him to trigger the bleeds generated by boothill's breaks. I'm honestly so excited for boothill, can't wait to play around with him and his teams, I've never been this excited for a character before.

i agree. people are also sleeping on Sushang. she has action adavnce and self speed buffs that let her abuse superbreak, and she can do it while being SP neutral.

My memory sucks and seeing that the husbando team has all my favorite characters in it makes me so RELIEVED knowing I can wish on Boothill without issues xD Cuz I only see peopel talk about the ultimate Break boothill hypercarry team which I... yeah... Can't replicate.

Thanks for the video, EOD! I occasionally have you on in the background while I'm working, like now lol If I was getting Boothill, I'd run him with HMC, Ruan Mei, and Hanya for funsies. Don't care if it's not the most optimal. Hanya using skill every turn adds up on phys toughness reduction and enables SP regen. She goes ZOOM on her own, even faster with Ruan Mei. Why not just run Gallagher instead? I enjoy running sustainless teams and the idea of multiple supports regularly dealing five digit damage is hilarious

Hello, I just came back to the game and got this character. I left at the beginning after the first story patch when the second story chapter was half done (before Blade's banner?) so I don't have any of the characters you mention except for Welt and Natasha. I do however have Tingyum, Pela, Seele, Sampo, Bailu, Lynx, Quingque, Hook, Sushang, Arlan plus the ones you always get like Asta or Herta, maybe Tingum, the protagonist and...? could you lend me a hand? Luka doesn't scale with BE?! Do you just not have Luka or maybe you dont have him built with BE or have him E6? Luka can literally break for up to 200k dmg and continue doing similar dmg when they try to recover. I would look more into Break Luka bc he's pretty busted for a 4 star.

Surprised Robin isn't used in more teams, she is great for Single Target characters, turning them into multi hitters whenever she ult (attacking twice per turn order instead of once)

If you can still enough to get *36 in MoC, then it's better to rumping up your DPS either by pull for another one or supports. There is no point pullin for more sustain if you can sustain enough.

Get boothill gallagher already synergies well with him and should have no problems solo sustain at e6 only get fu xuan if u want to do swarm that the only place healer bad as can't prevent 1 shot

you understimating luka boothill BIS is HMC those ruan mei arguments and her BE efficiency are true, but you can have a very similar result using luka instead for those who dont have ruan mei ruan mei BE efficiency can be replaced with luka helping lowering the toughness bar and doing more instances of BE with HMC you want the deny utility that ruan mei gives to extend the break status? you can use welt just fine to handle that, and on top of that, he can deal dmg too with a BE build i already saw videos of both teams and it was pretty good

though you can't have +50% break efficiency, +68% damage buff, +25% Resistance Penetration, +turn delay extension all in one character.

@@dilucragnvindr130 you can't have the res pen, but you can have the BE efficiency (kinda) with luka and the delay with welt + more break dmg, unlike the 20K super break dmg from ruan mei Since this channel is mostly meta stuff, you can make the argument of welt sustain

I hadn't thought of Boothill as a sub DPS. It makes sense since his skill acts a lot like Blade's. If you're not perpetually killing and switching targets he'd be relatively low SP cost compared to other DPS. Not as low as Blade (being -1 sp every 3 turns if his skill's timer acts like Blade's) but it would give him that team flexibility. It wouldn't take full advantage of his kit but it could work.

Depends of your account. Boothill it's a god break DMG single target DPS... he is easy to build and with Ruan Mei he reeeally rocks, I will get him and after get her. He doesn't depends of his light one that much, he needs BE what's not so many stats to farm, so he is not a pain to build. Firefly focus on multi target so she is for a different use but its restric, but the free MC can be used, as you have Ruan Mei any of them would work for you. But...I personally think that he is better, as character and as DPS. Now you need analyze your acc :)

Boothill is a very very EASY dps to build you ONLY need break effect and speed you can even run DEF orb and he'll practically perform the same too.

Im a new player idk if I should wait for Acheron rerun or pull for one of the break characters (Boothill/Firefly). Acheron is my favorite character together with Jingliu but she probably won’t rerun for atleast 6 months. I need a dps for my 2nd team, my current team uses Jingliu. I’m leaning towards waiting for Acheron and pulling supports for her team while waiting since I like her character so much but not sure yet

if u want to progress, i recommend getting boothill/firefly as superbreak teams are the hyperbloom of hsr. ure right tho, acheron wont be coming back soon so u have enough time to refarm ur jades to get her.

unless you got luocha (which is unlikely since he was in acheron's banner), i'd recommend pulling Boothill. He will fit into a lot of teams and is good with Clara if you get her down the road!

Still not sure if I should pull… first I’ll see if they are actually strong otherwise I might as well wait for Acheron and pull for supports + preservation characters. I want characters like Ruan Mei, Sparkle, Luocha etc anyways so I could focus on pulling characters that will be used in an Acheron team meanwhile I wait for her rerun. But if the new characters are op I might as well go for them instead

I'm a little surprised she wasn't mentioned in this video to be honest. Maybe I need to get out of the kitchen, but speaking as a Break Luka enjoyer, I predict that Kafka will have pretty decent synergy with Boothill. Between his primary form of damage being enhanced basics which will trigger her followups, to his SP neutrality, on top of Break bleed being absurdly potent for retriggering alongside his implant making him viable in a wider range of content than Luka, we might have a pretty potent dual DPS comp on our hands here. Probably wants Ruan Mei over Hatblazer due to the inherent synergy of break extension and doubling DoT procs, but Booty has his armcannon for applying his break damage without Hatblazer anyways.

Just want to say this: Hanya should be in the top 3 of boothill most suitable support cause she is physical, make boothill skill point positive while also help him break faster by using her skill and her speed and massive speed boost for boothill to move and break the enemy(2 Hanya skill and 2 Boothill attack basically delete the enemy break bar), bonus point she's a harmony that only required speed for her stats so she can use DDD. In conclusion, she is a 4 star ruan mei for physical break team. Call her Crack cause Boothill about to go high noon,Son - said Boothill

As someone who happens to have ruan mei, i'm becoming more and more tempted to pull for him. The only thing is his gacha and f2p light cone options seem pretty poor, and I've already lost two 75/25s back to back lol.

I saw in a dream that Firefly also scales off break, so nobody should feel like they need to pull Boothill just to have a break dps to go with their HTB. Still might pull him though because hes a muddle fudgin cowboy fer forks sake!
