As someone that had a tough relationship with my father where we never spoke for over 15 years and he has now passed and we never fixed the relationship. Hindsight is 20/20. A phone call could have probably fixed a lot of issues. Any "relationship" takes two, it was as much my fault as it was his. As someone who has lived this, pick up the phone, you'll be surprised what a "Hello" will do.

Been talking to my dad for 6 years both in person and on the phone trying to make something of it. He is willing and we have a relationship but what he thinks is normal is lacking for me, the relationship is hollow, feels like it is empty. He is on the way out with Mesothelioma, I don't know how to make the relationship meaningful. Thanks for sharing.

You’re spot on @morganshelby5804. My parents divorced when I was a small kid and I didn’t hear from / see my dad for close to a decade afterwards. Raised by a single mother and we struggled. I harbored so much animosity towards my dad for so many years. The older I got the more I began to know Christ and eventually realized I was hurting myself by holding so much hatred towards my dad. God didn’t want me to be like that. I was in my mid twenties when I reached out to my dad and told him I forgave him for not being there. It was a slow process, but now I’m in my forties and my dad and I talk almost everyday. Keep working at it.

Happy Father's Day Bro My Dad was my best friend. Any word on the TTTF? I'M MY Daughter's yard man. Middle TN new construction, clay No topsoil. Sod installed last July. It's been a battle. Pulled out rocks from under sod bigger than my head. GOD BLESS

I live in Ma and it's tough to keep my KBG looking decent in the summer. KBG is very quick to wanting to go dormant in the slightest heat. I'm thinking of going all TTTF for the easier maintenance and for keeping it greener in summer.

Happy Fathers day Pete and the rest of the dads on this channel. My yard is 100% TTTF. I purchased a 25lb bag of the Blue Heat and a 25lb bag of Spreader Elite for over seeding in the fall. My question is will that mixture work with the TTTF that is already in my yard or am I wasting my money? Thanks for all and any responses.

I planted some Midnight KBG last fall in North Louisiana. It’s supposed to be 103 this week but it’s still green with plenty of water. Just need to keep the fungicide going. It’s definitely more work but it stays green all year long (with water in summer). Never went dormant last winter. 😊

@@desmorider747 only my vanity strip is 100% KBG. However I baby that strip with everything I got and more. I water it 3 times in the heat of day for 4 mins to cool the grass. As of right now the strips will blind your eyes

KBG with some rye in it tho is absolute beauty cause that shine and stripes of the rye. It is a water baby but KBG is tough my neighbor has a KBG yard and it’s never irrigated and always comes back of course as soon as it’s hot and dry it goes dormant but it comes back you just have heavy feed in the spring and fall

Happy Fathers Day Pete. Thank you for the words of encouragement at the end. For what it’s worth, my relationship with my father has been strained over the past year, and I went several months without talking to him. I had to draw a boundary because of a toxic relationship and the last time we spoke was Feb 19th where the Lord put it on my heart to let him know I forgave him and that I want to move on. I’m still waiting for a call back, and that’s what still sucks. But you’re right about what our Heavenly Father will do to fill any voids in our lives.

Can you over seed KBG over an existing TTTF lawn? I like the idea of a self repairing lawn. My kids love playing in the yard and are really hard on it Volleyball, whiffle ball, football, water fights and slides etc.

Best I recall a few of them maybe but I don’t think it germinated because I did t keep the seed moist. The other 5-8 spots I know for sure no seed was added. The blue spreads nicely
