what i love about this fight is that you can feel the danger they are in, if they made a mistake it ends for them, Uzui in previous episodes said that it was going to be a super flashy fight to death and it was, simply amazing episode

God man. When this episode aired my friends and i were losing our absolute shit. When Uzui blocked Gyuutaro's attack my friends and i went ballistic. My buddy's girlfriend literally screamed, another friend and i both yelled "LETS FUCKIN GOOOOOO!!!" at the same time. During that whole fight our whole group was literally hyped tf up. We were watching open mouthed on the edges of our seats. Pretty sure i forgot to breath, you'd think i hadn't read the manga with the way i was so excited. This episode went so crazy. And then a few months later, It was awesome when they screened this episode and the season finale (and season 3 ep 1) in theaters. Seeing this on a regular tv and then a movie theater screen with that kind of crazy surround sound was incredible. Also as a manga reader Gyuutaro's suicide bomb completely caught me off guard; In the manga it looked like it only destroyed a 3 or 3 houses, so to see the explosion obliterate a whole city block was nuts. Like during the credits my friends and i just sat there dumbfounded at what we'd just seen, so mad that we had to wait another week for the next episode lol. Great reactions from you as always!

that weird change Tanjiro went through while cutting off the head at the end doesn't get fully explained until season 4, but yeah it's basically a power-up induced by addrenaline

I love Gyutaros va performance in this, so menacing. The shot of Gyutaro walking out of the fire gave me chills when I first saw it. Gyutaro is strong but he’s upper 6 right now for a reason. That’s said Muzan and a few of the uppers respect him for his skill and potential, so had he lived he may have gotten higher in the ranks.

Gyutaro's voice actor KILLED it in this episode. The way he was just talking to Tanjiro at the start, and just teasing him and basically just playing with him, man that was so good! ...and this show with the goddamn cliffhangers! This one was especially cruel!! Just hanging there, and then CREDITS!! what the fuck? haha
