Chiang Rai is the northernmost province in Thailand and despite its proximity to the popular Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai remains less crowded and is often only visited as a day trip. However, we recommend staying a few days to fully experience this part of Thai culture. We spent our days on a scooter discovering Chiang Rai's crazy unique & beautiful temples! The city is known for some of the most spectacular temples of Thailand, of which you might have seen pictures before. In this video, we take you along the best things to do around the city of Chiang Rai! From the striking White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) known for its eerie entrance with hands reaching up from underground, to our favorite Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten). We wrapped up our trip with a fantastic cooking class where we learned how to cook authentic Thai dishes, like Papaya Salad & Green Curry, one of the highlights of our Thailand adventure!
