As a server ...... THANK YOU!!! People need to be more aware of this, when you stay at a table for an inordinate amount of time you are essentially killing that server's ability to earn. You are welcome to stay just be considerate of the server and leave a little extra. Always kills your day when a table will sit for an hour after they eat or longer (personally I've had a table sit for 3 hours!...).

Personally, I don’t think picky eaters should be factored into the rankings. It should just be quality of the food and service. Anyone can look at a menu and decide if there are options they would eat, but we can’t look at a menu and judge the quality of the items served. I would hate for an excellent restaurant to get lower rankings just because people might not be as familiar with the cuisine.

I put Marrakesh at the top of my list. They made the food to my order, and they made harissa from scratch for me when I asked why it was not served. The waiter ran off and came back with it, just made, and delicious. If you tell them that you appreciate Moroccan cuisine and order their wine (one of almost no other country in North Africa), they will take care of you. Now, over three visits, that was my experience.

Don’t even worry about the rankings-it’s the usual format we all expect, but you’ve fleshed out the usual rankings with such good intel that we can all judge for ourselves how the restaurants will work for us? Loved it!

San Angel Inn always rates low. but my family and I don't care. we love it. the atmosphere inside the mayan pyramid. view of the marketplace and water ride. i love their steak options. my wife has her favorites. etc. the dark mood lighting is also unique.

I remember getting a crepe in the France Pavilion when I was 11 nearly 16 years ago and I STILL crave it. I can’t wait to get one when I go back for my honeymoon next year.

I personally would love to see the Mexico pavilion get the Coco makeover. Not just for the ride itself but mostly for the San Angel. The San Angel is a special space that has the potential to be as good if not better than the Blue Bayou at Disneyland. Imagine that instead of overlooking the, nice but not awesome, Aztec pyramid you could get lost looking into that supernatural city of the dead from Coco. Add in some special effects of spirit animals and characters moving around the city and re-imagine the restaurant itself in a Coco theme. The menu could really, really, use a revamp in the worst way also. The restaurant space there is begging to reach it's true potential and it probably be the most popular restaurant in all of Walt Disney World. In my opinion. Can't you just imagine it!

My family ate at restaurant Marrakesh one year that we went there food was phenomenal, I had the lamb and it literally fell off of the bone. The spices were great and with my first time ever eating that type of food and I absolutely loved it

My fave is Restaurant Marrakesh. So fresh, so good. And just stunningly beautiful.

Even the sushi at Tokyo is very very limited. We were shocked by the lack of options. They really need to update their menu. It has been virtually the same since the 80's.

I've got a freshly-sharpened pitchfork and a torch doused in the finest oil, so let's get to business comparing experiences... San Angel Inn: Agree 100% with its placement at the bottom. Food was meh, atmosphere wasn't anything you couldn't experience by loitering in the pavilion, service was at least adequate. For me the final nail in the coffin is available space. I'm 6'5", and was literally hitting elbows with people at what were ostensibly separate tables. Not going back. Tokyo Dining: Fair assessment. I had sushi and had a great meal. My wife didn't, and it was mediocre. During the off-season, crowds aren't large enough that balcony obstruction was an issue for the fireworks. Lovely view. Akershus: Better for breakfast than otherwise. It's a touch more palatable for finicky or inexperienced eaters, especially anything with lingonberry. Plus an early enough reservation gets you into the World Showcase before it even opens, which means that a correctly-timed meal gets you at the front of the line for the Frozen ride. Definitely worth consideration if that's a big thing for your kiddos. Restaurant Marrakesh: *lights torch* Time to storm me a castle. This place is freakin' phenomenal. Absolutely gorgeous, completely unique atmosphere and food, all of which is a delight to the senses. You yourself even listed the only flaws as not having fireworks viewing (which is a flaw shared by Le Cellier, if I may twist that knife) and the fact that the food may be a bit *too* exotic for the pickier eaters. It's top 5 material for sure, at least. C'mon.

Im more of an exotic eater, so garden grill doesn't interest me at all. I don't like going to a restaurant and getting food i can make at home. I prefer spice road and places like that

I went to San Angel Inn this past March and it was wonderful! We had our reservation at opening for lunch and we were the first table sat - we requested a table by the river and we got it. The food was amazing and our server was friendly and talked to us about Mexico and working and living in the US. We had an amazing time here!

Le Cellier is my fav! I agree the food is heavy though! I always make reservations for my arrival day and have it as a late lunch/early dinner. Early enough that i can walk it enough but late enough that I am full for the evening!

Dear AJ, Wow! An EPCOT Restaurant Review that's a toughie. I've eaten at a few of the restaurants reviewed but for me I have to go with the meal. At La Hacienda de San Angel and my favorite dish is the: New York Strip - New York Strip dusted with Pumpkin Seeds, Garlic, and Habanero Pepper atop a Tequila-Butter Cascabel Pepper Reduction served with Roasted Tomatillos, Onions, Chiles Toreados, Grilled Queso Fresco, and Corn-mashed Potatoes - $34.00 It is simply incredible. Somehow the chef's manage to take the heat out of the Habanero Peppers and just leave the flavor. The steak is always done to perfection (medium rare) and you have never tasted mashed potatoes like these. I'm 68yrs young and I have never tasted mashed potatoes this good in my entire life. Whenever we go to WDW the La Hacienda de San Angel is on our list for this fantastic meal. Thank you for all of your work in evaluating WDW and all of its attractions. VPW

Wow! This May, my wife and I had our 10th anniversary dinner at Le Cellier. It was excellent, but we both greatly preferred Nine Dragons. We went to Nine Dragons twice, and the food and service was incredible.

I went to Rose and Crown back in the spring. My waiter was super friendly and attentive. The food was good, though a bit on the heavy side for a day in the park. Maybe it's just me, but I often find that if it is hot out I just am not in the mood for heavy food. If you don't care about seeing the fireworks, I would recommend eating at Rose and Crown for lunch, as it will be a little easier to get a reservation.

My family have been to Disney World 6 times...and ALWAYS eat at Marrakech restaurant. First visit with my son 96. I have adult sons...our last visit was 2019... but we like the food.... and it's a tradition for us.

I would like to see you do a ranking based on a balance between the food and the experience. It seems to my family that you can get great food, but the atmosphere might be stuffy, or you can have a lot of fun but the food is so so. What are the best combinations of food and atmosphere?

We really enjoyed Chefs de France! Our service was awesome and our picky 5 year old loved it. It's fancyish but not polarizing and you won't leave feeling like a stuffed turkey.

We actually had our Rehearsal Lunch at Via Napoli. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, service was fantastic, food was great and it was cost effective to get a few different pizzas, salads, pasta dish and everyone ate what they wanted. We let our guests pick their desserts and one drink. We all sat at the huge table by the ovens, and it was nice to be casual. Some guests preferred not to come and enjoy the parks, and that was okay too😉.

I was waiting for San Angel Inn to come up and I’m so disappointed it was last! I’ve always had a great time there. My family loves it. So many great memories. We have to go every time we’re at Disney.

First of all, thank you for doing this video! As all your videos are great! I am heading to Epcot next week, and now have some great ideas of new restaurants to try. Also, I really love La Hacienda and wish it was up a few numbers!! I left that restaurant the first time, just couldn't believe how great the eats were there! I agree with you with your review of 'Nine dragons'. I heard all the bad reviews, but tried it anyways and was pretty good!

I have only eaten at Akershus, Biergarten, and Coral Reef. We had breakfast at Akershus. There was a cold buffet of meats, cheeses, and fruits, then they served bacon, sausage, eggs, etc. family style. All of the food was good, and the characters are so much fun here. If you have a little princess in your travel party, this is a great alternative to Cinderella's Royal table. We saw Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Aurora, and Mary Poppins when we ate here. We had the dinner buffet at Biergarten. Now, this is mostly traditional German fare so lots of different kinds of sausages and hearty foods. My family wasn't crazy about the food he though I enjoyed it. The atmosphere and live entertainment is really a lot of fun here. This is a bit on the adventurous side as far as the food goes but don't let that scare you off from giving it a try! A lot of people really, REALLY do not like Coral Reef. We are here for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was all tasty. I had the mahi mahi which was excellent and our waiter was hilarious. The atmosphere is very dark and cool with the aquarium right beside you. I am going back to WDW in January and have reservations at Garden Grill and Chefs de France. I'm looking forward to great meals there as well.

San Angel is wonderful! We go every time we are in Disney and it’s always a delight. We’ve only ever had excellent service and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is sublime; always the perfect evening-such a nice break from the hot Florida sun and humidity! This deserves to be so much higher on this list!

Garden Grill was a memorable experience for our family. My youngest son had a cast on because he broke his arm right before we left for Disney. The characters spent a lot of time with him and signed his cast which made for a great experience.

My sister and I spent Christmas Day at Epcot about 9 years ago - we have always had super traditional Christmas meals with our fam, but since we were on a trip we had lunch at Restaurant Marrakesh, then sat in France to watch the fireworks eating Fish & Chips from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop and Italian Gelato 😍it was all so delicious and such a great way to spend the day!

Great job as always, AJ! Biergarten is a "must do" for me every visit. I've had some good meals at Chefs, never done Monsieur Paul. Had a nice time a couple of times at Marrakesh, but much prefer to just get something QS at Tangierine Cafe, which is also a "must do" for me - love to sit outside, people watch, and enjoy.

Biergarten made my husband tear up. The smells, oomph band and singing reminded him of holiday get togethers with his big German family. I love the atmosphere. It is just fun.

San Angel is actually my favorite at Epcot. Eaten there four times and yes it’s very dark and the food is ok, but the ambiance is it’s shining glory. Twinkling lights, the rumble of the volcano, the candles on the tables... just a magical place

I have been to Disney 10 times and Garden Grill is my favorite restaurant also. They have lots of options for being celiac. Our family of 5 love it there!!

Note to picky eaters- just try it! You're in the safest possible environment to expand your palate. As a 12 year old in 1989, I would have never thought pickled and smoked fish would be my thing. Yet a meal at Akershus ranked as possibly the best of my childhood.

Nice to see Garden Grill at the top of the list. My kids always liked the character interaction and I liked to changing scenery as the restaurant rotates. The food was consistently good. The best part is it's all you can eat, but you don't have to get out of your seat like a buffet.

Agree with Garden Grill at the top. It's such a great option, particularly for breakfast or lunch to fill up for the day. Plus the characters for the kids and the rotating aspect is fun. Is it the best restaurant at Epcot? No, but all-around value and experience makes me believe it is. Our family loves Akershus. We know it gets a bad wrap, but we actually enjoy the food there. The princess character experience is exceptional (way better than at the MK). I agree that San Angel should be dead last. Awful, awful, awful. Restaurant Marrakesh is an absolute hidden jem and worth it in my experience. As for any of the restaurants at the Italy pavilion, we strongly dislike. Way better authentic Italian food can be found practically anywhere else. Thanks for tackling this ranking. I agree it's the toughest park to rank by far.

Thanks for this very informative video, I will try to remember the information when I visit Epcot in 3 weeks for the very first time and hope that it is as much fun as it looks in the videos. IMHO, the four biggest factors in rating any restaurant are: Price, food quality/taste, service & personal expectations, your personal palate is something else that affects your meal.

My husband and I loved eating at Rose and Crown during our honeymoon in May 2002 and again on our 15th anniversary. On our honeymoon we ate there for lunch and our server recommended coming back for the fireworks and eating outside. Wonderful view of fireworks. We recreated on our 15th anniversary and the servers were so sweet and gave us some special cupcakes and a menu that they all signed.

I thought this was something really cool. If you have an allergy and in a restaurant it is amazing because the chef will come out to your table and talk to you about what kind of food and like to eat you can eat. My two favorite experiences are (i am allergic to high fructose corn syrup and fructose) at tusker house, where the chef and i walk around the buffet with him telling me whats in everything for about an hour. Another one is at Le Cellier , the chef meet us a our table befor we sst down , he made homemade mashed potatoes for me that I could have. Overall it is very cool that you get a special treatment if you have an allergy.😁💕

I’m surprised when people say that San Angel Inn is terrible or only meh. As a Mexican-American living in England, it’s rare for me to find Mexican food unless I make it myself. Whenever we go to WDW, we make an aim to eat various dishes from the Mexican pavilion that are Mexican and not just tex-mex. On our last visit in May 2018, we went twice to San Angel Inn because the service was fantastic, the food was amazing & the general atmosphere made me remember holidays to Mexico and eating dinner after sunset with family & friends. My English-in-laws who never eat Mexican food unless I’ve made it absolutely loved it (one of them is a vegetarian and loved the options available to him)! The only thing San Angel Inn could do better is make food even spicier! :)

I love Spice RoadTable! I timed dinner so that we were just finishing it when Illuminations started. We had outside seating and it was magical. We had 17 people in our party and I requested outside viewing tables and the service was great!

We loved Akershus for the breakfast. Fantastic service and we loved the all you care to enjoy family style service instead of walk up to buffet. Princess interactions were great. Servers were very chatty and happy to answer all our questions about Norway. we loved it.

My mom and I both really loved our experience at Garden Grill! Super tasty food, fun character interaction, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The food is pretty heavy though. Biergarten is my favorite experience I've ever had at Disneyworld, I have to say. It's such a fun atmosphere, the show is amazing, and I personally thought that the food was great! The desserts especially were very tasty. I was also pretty surprised by where you placed Rose and Crown. I got the fish and chips, and not only was it cold but it was an odd texture. I don't think the rest of my party enjoyed their meals a ton either. I would try again though!

At our last trip, Akershus went from must-do to a huge old NOPE! The food was bad (except for the bar), the servers just stood around and glared at the customers, the Ariel actually BROKE CHARACTER and complained to the servers about her boyfriend breaking up with her the day before, right in front of us! We couldn't get a drink refill and we got ONE DESSERT FOR NINE PEOPLE. We were supposed to get a dessert for each two people! It was a nightmare. The servers at France were a helluva lot nicer to us than in Norway, and they weren't super friendly, so that's saying something!

LOVE Garden Grill. Will always go back there, as the food is pretty good, but the experience and customer serve is phenomenal. I have a hard time with Coral Reef- not because of the food quality, but because I feel guilty eating my dinner in front of its friends and family! 😂

Rose and Crown was a wonderful experience, loved the servers who took time to talk to us about their homes and the view of Illuminations was fantastic. They let us hang around and nurse a pint after our meal to watch. We also enjoyed the Chefs de France as a lunch bistro experience. Great place to watch the world go by, our server was a great authentic French waiter.

The Mexican restaurant in the pyramid is the world’s most expensive Chi Chis. Skip it and eat somewhere else. Nine Dragons is a nicer Panda Express. Keep in mind if you want to eat at the Biergarten you must have a reservation because it’s done in two hour flights.

they no longer let you wait for a fireworks view table at the Rose and Crown. You can ask, but if it isn't available they will seat you right away at a different table.

We had the most amazing waiter at Garden Grill this past August. His name was Bob. He was the best!

I love the comment about tipping extra on the fireworks view tables. As someone who works in hospitality I very much appreciate that statement, a little extra can really make someones day!

Our last trip (in 2016) we took our family of 7 to the Garden Grill which was an amazing character meal as well as having yummy (and healthy!) food. We also went to Teppan Edo which was actually our kids’ favorite restaurant of the whole trip. They are ages 5 to 15 and they all enjoyed it. The food was good and the chef was amazing!! It was an experience, not just a meal.

Restaurant Marrakesh is one of my favorites to visit every time we go to Epcot, the food there is consistently delicious every time we go and it's a beautiful building to sit in, service is great and lovely music. Just a great experience overall, I love it there. It's a bit hidden too so there's usually adequate seating no matter when you go and not very long wait for meals. Nine Dragons has greatly improved over time, it used to be just adequate but it's really stepped up, glad you noticed too. Definitely a great place for a quick bite. I treated my parents to lunch at La Cellier for lunch and while service was excellent and everything we had was absolutely delicious and worth every penny, eating that type of heavier comfort food then returning to a warm climate day was not the most comfortable transition. Of course no fault of the restaurant, I will definitely be going again, just in the evening hours for supper or on a cooler weather day. I'm glad you're putting San Angel Inn last, because they deserve it. As a kid going on the 3 Caballeros ride, I always wanted to eat there. It seemed so beautiful and you could relax and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere or wave at the boats going by. I have been there twice, and both times were very poor service experiences paired with just decent food, nothing amazing. One time in particular I went with my sister and mother for lunch, there were dozens of open tables on a very low traffic day, I was hungry and wanted to eat just not have a full meal, so I asked to order an alcoholic drink, an appetizer and a dessert (equaling the cost of an entree if not exceeding it, both my mother and my sister had drinks and entrees) and was flat out told I specifically "couldn't do that", then when pressed why not, the waiter had to go and "ask the manager". They begrudgingly did it, but it was such an uncomfortable and upsetting experience. Will not be returning again.

How fitting that you upload this a day after I went to Food and Wine! I followed your advice for some of the items, particularly the Guinness shake. I actually got it solely because you recommended it; I'm not really a beer drinker usually.
