I think Milwaukee is the best tool brand for woodworking in 2023. What do you think?

The best tool brand is 1) the one you use 2) the ones you can afford and 3) the ones you have batteries for.

i was originally a dewalt guy.. still have their tools but i have invested in their m12 products also and accessories.. that 4 in 1 drill and that detail sander is amazing
@Josh.12348 ай бұрын
Yeah you could support an American company with a massive amount of manufacturing in the US or you could buy from our geopolitical enemy and a totalitarian regime.. When your industry gets outsourced don't complain.. you had an option for great tools from DeWalt
@dangallagher69758 ай бұрын
i have ton of dewalt tools/accessories etc.. use them everyday.. they just don’t have a 4 in 1 drill in the 20V line and a detail sander .. the m12 just makes up the difference for me

I don't woodwork, but, am in the trades. I think people are going to very surprised when they find out the Hercules line up is actually fantastic. My impact alone is worth its weight in gold.

I pivoted to Makita battery tools after purchasing a few Milwaukee tools for framing and carpentry-related task and the primary motivator was that it was clear Milwaukee hadn't asked many carpenters to try out their saw before shipping, but that was years ago now. With the 7-1/4" Circular saw there's a little peice of metal that juts down on the right-hand side of the front of the blade that completely obscures your view of your cut from that angle. This effectively removes your ability to make left-handed cuts with your right-handed saw by following the blade directly from the right-hand side of the tool.
@Dr.WestsideАй бұрын
Damn if you're a carpenter go with Metabo . Hitachi was the biggest name in framing for decades .

i’ve been doing the same thing for the very same reason, lol…from woodworker to furniture builder to auto mechanic to electrician to plumber to carpenter, i do it all to save money and make money, lol…Milwaukee, Harvey, and Bosch are my brands of choice
@scottbionicnerf872710 ай бұрын
The primary reason I settled upon Milwaukee was the fact that they were expanding their 12v line of tools, many of which are already irreplaceable for Wood Working, once you discover them. The smallest, most powerful battery powered tools on the market. And Milwaukee has plans for Higher AmpHour/better batteries, in both platforms, with the 12v line running maybe 9mos behind the 18v line.

The more people who buy the brand you’ve invested so heavily in, the more innovation will follow. Just a rule of thumb. There’s plenty of Makita tools I can’t get in the US because Makita is just Festool Jr. So sometimes I preach when given the opportunity

Makita is great. Most of my tools are Milwaukee, and some DeWalt, but I do have a Makita (corded) grinder. Hard to go wrong with those three brands.
@gregblake276424 күн бұрын
I tried to transition to Milwaukee tools and started with a drill/driver kit and a large corded hammer drill. All three tools needed major repairs within the first three months. It took six weeks to get them repaired. Never will buy Milwaukee again.

I have had Milwaukee tools for 10 years and most have been great but they screwed me on my Sawzall warranty and it is hard to let that go. I have also found that the prices are getting a little ridiculous. The Milwaukee track saw in Canada costs as much as the Festool.

I like your channel alot. Great content. I did actually buy the milwaukee track saw. But i regret it a bit. Milwaukee and home depot did me dirty on several m18 batteries and i have a nasty taste in my mouth over it. I will never buy another m18 battery just by itself ever again. If my supply of batteries completely gives out thats when i sell every milwaukee i own. I could use their new pass through cordless ratchet, new router and one other item. But when i saw the prices my response was HAIL NO!!!! $400 for that pass through??? Nope nope nope....

not really. It will cause a lot of surface scratches because of the side to side motion. If you want a finish sander, the Milwaukee one will leave a better finish especially if you're staining it.
