Excellent! I came very close to a severe head-on crash last summer so I'm installing tpms systems on my bikes. The front tube had a sudden failure! I escaped without a scratch but WOW I don't wish that to happen again!

Great info Mike! My current TPMS is "check at every ride" and I've been doing that for the last several years. My pre-ride mantra has always been the check tires, oil, loose stuff before every ride. Drives the Mrs. crazy when we are trying to get rolling. Gets tougher though as you age a bit. Installing that TPMS on my old '03 FLHTCI would be sweet brother!

I got a cheapo TPMS from Amazon about a year and a half ago for my 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000 and today I noticed it's not showing tire pressure so I came to KZfaq to find a new one which led me to your very informative video. I'd rather have one that links with my phone which is always mounted to my wireless charger mounted on my handlebars connected to my Cardo. So this one is perfect.

Hey Man Mountain Mike, a TPMS is a great product to review. Fur Fur and I were riding my Heritage and unknowingly run over something in the road that punctured the rear tire. Things got really squirrely, really quick. Pulled over and the tire was completely down. I sure could have used a TPMS to warn me before this dangerous & scary situation went down. Appreciate the valuable and relevant content you are producing here Bro and keep on riding. I’m out for now.

I am a real slacker when it comes to checking tire pressure! As such I could really use a good quality TPMS such as FOBO2 to make sure my tires are at the right pressure at all times on my FLSB. Yup I hav the same awesome bike at FireCracker... So a matching TPMS on our FLSB's would be the cats meow.

Well either you never run under or you have the threshold to low I would guess. I was getting over alarms in the heat in kansas and had to raise the threshold

@Riding in the Ozarks It’d be great if all motorcycle manufacturers added TPMS systems on their motorcycles, especially on touring/baggers where the saddlebags hinder normal checking of the tire pressure! I have a question about tire pressure and how it relates to having flat spots on motorcycle tires where they have been parked for a day or two, like when I park my Harley Electra Glide in my shed for a couple days when the weather turns bad, and when I go to back it out of the shed, I can feel the spots in the tires where they have made contact with the wood floor of the shed(which is 4”-5” above the ground), is this an indication of low tire pressure or just the fact that the bike has set for a couple days? By the way, Professional Monkey says that you really know your stuff when talking about parts.

Monkey gives me to much credit, he is a good dude. I got to hangout with him some at Cycle Showcase a few weeks ago. I will be honest I would assume low pressure or maybe the tire compound is not good, because I have never experienced flat spots that I could feel from the bike sitting for a even for a few weeks. Are the tires old by chance?

I have yet to see a VBlogger give a good overview of the settings on this app. In particular the Gauge Pressure setting and it's significance. As the manual indicates, unlike an actual gauge, the sensors measure absolute pressure relative to a vacuum. If you want gauge readings, then the setup has to account - like a gauge - for atmospheric pressure. This setup has to use the phone's or cell tower barometric data to provide that information (which any gauge accounts for by default). Having the Gauge Pressure setting On will account for altitude changes (assuming the barometric data source is good) and give you a decent/accurate gauge pressure reading. If the Gauge Pressure setting is Off, then the measurements are always referenced to sea level (14.7) - meaning that the higher you go from sea level the higher the error. If the phone can't provide barometric data, then you are stuck with a sea level reference and whatever error comes with that. IDK, just guessing here, but I suspect the preferable option is to set Gauge Pressure to On. Also... about the lock nut... probably another benefit of the lock nut is that it will prevent the sensor from coming lose. I might choose to install it. My 2 cents.
