@@gairishchakraborty You need a tv for both , sd/hd channels and ott viewing. Therefore you need , a good upscaling of sd/hd channels and also dolby vision/atmos support for ott viewing. Hence , i won't recommed sony x74k , it doesn't have dolby vision support. Also there is another tv model which will serve both , good upscaling, best display quality , dolby vision/atmos support and 120hz refresh rate. Hence , a tv with very good hdr performance , dolby vision support and preferably 120hz refresh rate will be ideal for you. Hence prefer , Vu masterpiece qled. Dear Sir Hello Thanks for giving such important information in your question itself , by this I can precisely suggest a tv which will be best for you. As your main watching contents are set tob box channels and size of tv is 65 inch , therefore your tv would require a good amount of upscaling of the sd/hd channels. Sony TV's (and their processors) are best in this segment. No brand can upscale the contents like sony does. Secondly , it supports Dolby vision and Atmos , which will add to your OTT viewing experience. The panel used is ADS panel (similar to ips panel) hence blacks are not exactly blacks but don't worry , they don't cause much problems. Details in every scene is good. And yes , the backlight used in this tv is frame dimming type. Samsung q60/70b doesn't support Dolby vision and won't recommend it especially for ott watching ( they are good for HDR10+ OTT watching mostly) Link : amzn.to/3Y01IEm Please use this link for purchasing your tv, this helps our channel. Hello Thank you for appreciating our efforts:) Among cu8000 and sony x75L , sony is a better one. But do note , both doesn't support Dolby vision. If your usage is mainly of ott platforms (4k resolution or even hd resolution) then you can also think for Vu masterpiece QLED. It's perfect for ott watching, as it supports Dolby vision, HDR 10+ and it has 120hz refresh panel too. If you wish to go with Sony brand then try increasing your budget and go with sony x80L for getting Dolby vision. See , every electronic device has it's own merits and demerits. But we can only say comparatively which is better. Vu masterpiece qled is surely very good , but Sony is even better. Colour processing, hdr content etc looks even better. Hence if price is not an issue then go with sony x90k , but budget is a constraint then you can prefer vu masterpiece qled. Regarding sd content , a normal sd channel will never look very good in a bigger screen , but here the upscaling factor comes into play. Sony has comparitively better upscaling than any other brand. But do note , sd channels are not very pleasing from any tv in a bigger size model , but HD channels will have very nice upscaling from sony tv. overall , sony x90k delivers for what you pay. Hello Sony brand doesn't have qled panel models. You can go with normal panels from sony (which are definitely good) or i can suggest a beautiful tv from samsung with gorgeous display quality and best in class qled panel with beautiful contrast too ( but for your budget you have to consider 55 inch Model for it) Do let me know Best wishes :)

Mainly OTT content. No gaming as of now. Maybe little bit in the future, but not much. TV is situated in dark area, with less direct sunlight. Little bit concerned about LG WebOS and how good it is compared to Google TV OS.

There are two options , one is vu masterpiece qled and another is samsung frame. But i won't suggest samsung frame Because its cost is high. As you mentioned LG and Sony , both these brands doesn't offer TV with QLED panels. But , the best thing one can do , is Purchasing an OLED tv. @@mamboo005 Actually , a good tv with a panel capable to deliver smooth performance while watching sports in 65inch costs a little more from top brands. Secondly , yes samsung tv lacks dolby vision support. The difference is noticeably only when the content is really a dolby vision content. Actually, not all the contents of OTT platforms are dolby vision. If you watch dolby vision movies then the difference is noticeable. But samsung do support hdr 10+ which is similar to dolby vision, but same , for that too ott content should be a hdr10+ content. I would request to increase your budget a little and go with vu masterpiece qled , it will give smooth performance in OTT and also sports , also it has dolby vision support and good audio too. Hello Before directly answering this , we need to understand an important point : QUALITY of the panel. A good quality oled panel will last even more than normal lcd panel. There are numerous cases where the TV's started to give problems in their display even though they were lcd panel. Now , coming to the question , when compared with quality lcd panel and OLED panel, then surely lcd panel has more life. But , a good OLED panel is worth to invest in. Like , LG and sony both uses very good OLED panels. Preferring OLED panel TV's is due to the reason of it's cinematic experience that they provide. The colours , viewing angles , HDR performance, contrast ratio they give. It's unmatched with any other panel. Best wishes:)
