When I went to Japan as a tourist I was very young, I had a budget but I was just amazed how much food I could get during the day from vending machines for such good prices. This way I could spend more money on museums, funny t-shirts, I even bought a nice pre-owned computer and other things. But it was also nice not to "occupy space" or "be in the way" because there was a lot of people (workers) buying food during lunch hour and I felt bad to go to resturants at that time because other people needed food as well and they where on a schedule but I was not. Vending machines was a great way to get a small lunch for a cheap price so I didn't go hungry and wasn't "in the way" :) Family Mart and Lawson both had great stuff too though :p

What I miss most about japan are the awesome vending machines!! There’s so many things to try, and it is so fun to get food from the vending machines. 😍 America has really nasty vending machines, usually filled with expired snacks 😭
@DrakethNamikaze

Vannie - The concept of food from vending machines Originated in Berlin, Germany in the late 1800's. By 1912, the Automat Restaurant format came to New York City in the United States. They were around until the 1940's in New York. Vending Machines serving fresh food similar to the vending machine food in Japan. However, because of the rise of fast food restaurants like McDonald's and diner's in the 50's, the Automat format fell out of favor. As for Vending Machines in the United States, they are mostly filled with snack foods. Chips, cookies, candy bars. There are some sandwich vending machines as well. But the quality of the food always depends on the owner of the machine. So there are some nasty snacks if the owner is careless.

What a great compilation boys! It was fun to see so many different types of vending machines in one video! I loved the variety of hot drinks that are available, especially the oshiruko, as that was my okasama’s favorite. And that charsiu ramen with 5 large slices! OMGEEE! You can’t even get that many slices at our local ramen restaurants. I could not believe the double katsu and hamburger cutlet sando’s in Akihabara. Whaaat? As always, thank you for your hard work! It was fun to see the snipet from a few years ago, as it reminded me, of when I first found you! Much love to you both! Please continue to stay safe and healthy!

What's up is that video cover photo clip and that preview loop is nigh flawless genius. Instant beyond learning about the vending machines places and foods, creating a must watch because of appeal, intrigue, and relatability. You boys may just be well on the way to a next level of KZfaq! Keep it up and maybe get some bentos would make a cool video. Like one bento of the best quality from each establishment in your community then surrounding cities and areas. Then a final top 10 bentos all across or something. Either way, you boys keep up the fantastic work!!!

I bought from the 100 yen machines a soda that has vitamins and a yellow can, tastes like medicine but it is quite adictive, at least it was for me XD, drank LOTS of it, it is amazing how in a single street the prices and variety of a Vending Machine varies, in one a 500ml coke can be 150 yen but in the next one 180, and if you walk a bit further you can find one of 130 yen, same with food and other things, do not know what determines the prices,same with beer, anything, even Dolls and other things XD.
