I think the best spot is about 20 feet behind the Partners Statue. The silhouette of Walt and Mickey in front of those castle projections really feels special to me. I don't mind the obstruction because of what it is. The second best view is with a small kid (preschool or early elementary age) seeing it for the first time. Watch the joy in their eyes as every character they hold dear climbs over the castle. Easily as magical as the show itself.

Tonight I was able to lay on the bench right in front of the doors of Be Our Guest and look up at the amazing fireworks. It was so worth getting rained on!!! 😃😍

Just wanted to mention that I loved the format of this video with interspersing the video of the view from the spot you are talking about or showing the map of what you are referring to, it was very helpful. I also appreciated Charles asking the question of how far in advance you had to line up to get the spot in question

Ryno - I was so excited to hear you mention the Onset fireworks!! I grew up in Wareham (my mom was a teacher at Plymouth North) and always watched the Onset fireworks across the bay from Shell Point. You're right - they are so immersive. They have always been my favorite for the ability to be close to the fireworks - you feel like they are putting on the show just for you! Disney fireworks are more spectacular, but these have always been a nostalgic favorite. I watched them this year and loved them just as much as always. :)

One night we were in line for the Photopass shot at the end of Main Street with the castle as the background when the night show started. They stop taking shots at that point, but since we were in the line, we were in a perfect viewing area right down the middle for the fireworks and projection show.

Thanks for including the resort options! We're going in October and both of our MK days are MNSSHP, which we're not attending. So we're hoping to view the fireworks from outside the park sometime during our stay.

The best spot to watch it is in the hub next to the partners statue behind the grassy fenced in areas. Gives you a perfectly unobstructed view of the Castle. If you have little ones they can go right up against the fence and see everything. Also means people putting their kids on their shoulders won't be an issue for you. You're also right next to a speaker so the sound quality is as good as it can be. Need to get their 90-120 minutes before the show starts but it's well worth it imo

One visit we were on Dumbo when they started. We finished watching them around BOG/7DMT area. It was so magical being immersed in the fireworks. One of my favorite WDW moments!

My family and I love eating at 'Ohana during the fireworks. They pump the music in there too. We ask for a fireworks viewing table when we have late reservations. I also agree that the best spot to see the projections is from a little bit back, but there is also something to be said for sitting right in front of the castle with your children. The first time we did that during Wishes it was just magical. You feel like your part of the show. Thanks for another great show!

11:36 I remember begging my parents to stay in Magic Kingdom till 9pm to watch Wishes (2008) and we decided to watch it from the train station, for that 'down the avenue' view. Brilliant experience! Highly recommended!

I went to Magic Kingdom a week ago, and we were lucky enough to catch the beginning of Happily Ever After on the People Mover! And we still got to see the 2nd half of the show from the Tomorrowland bridge. Couldn't have planned it any better than how it played out.

I enjoyed sitting on my ECV on the train station. A family of children next to me burst into song as they recognised each character, which was great fun.

We went to the Polynesian 3 times to see the fireworks. We love the music that is played with the fireworks and it is hit or miss whether they're going to play it on the beach. One time they did not play it at all, another we could hear it from the speaker but it was at the volume where it was just a whisper. We thought that maybe they were trying to discourage folks from watching there because one time there was quite a crowd.

I booked the Tomorrowland Terrace Garden View dessert party for our upcoming vacation. How is the view from there? Review say it's pretty decent and not super crowded since you have to pay extra for it

One other spot is at the Ferry Dock at the TTC - it is a pretty straight on view so you can even make out some of the projections

Pinocchio village is awesome but my favorite spot is right on the 7 dwarfs fence right in front of storybook treats, fireworks are literally all around you but because of the angle you’re in the fireworks are going off on both sides left in the castle or right deeper into fantasy land and be our guest. Awesome spot

I so wish this had come out before I went to WDW! We just got back yesterday. I don’t love the projections, but I do love the fireworks. Next time I’m standing by Pinocchio Village Haus!

What about the view from the dessert party? Booked it for our 1st night so I don't have to deal with big crowds or wait for a good spot since my 4 yo will not understand why we're standing on the street for an hour.

My favorite nighttime spectacular!! Personally, I always go for the spot directly in front of the castle, to the right side. Always a perfect view

My goal is to be in the hub parallel with the partners statue. So far the last three times have been there, (off to the right if you are looking at the statue with the castle behind it) and I hold my ground. I kinda move sideways when they say move forward, I inch further in towards the statues. Not behind it though. The first time I was practically right in front of it and I missed most of the projections. Someone else on this thread they like it and my photos are GREAT with the silhouette of the statues... but the projection viewing - not so much.

I'm also curious about the desert party viewing. I think that would be a great episode of the best and worst. What are the best and worst desert parties/dining packages. Which offer the best view of the show, which aren't necessary for good viewing, best value for money, etc.

You guys totally forgot to mention the Fireworks Cruises to view the fireworks. Both the Magic Kingdom show and Illustrations at Epcot can be viewed on the cruises. I took my family on both cruises and they all loved it. They provided drinks and snacks plus you can bring other food or drinks if you want. If you have a party of 8 the cost is less than $40 per person and you get fantastic views of both shows. On the Magic Kingdom Cruise we also got to see the Water Parade. They both were a lot of fun and maybe the best money I ever spent at Disney. Thanks for sharing.

Completely agree! Got caught the fireworks in Fantasy Land one night as we exited Peter Pan. It was so cool viewing the show from undernearth. If you're looking for an intimate moment in the parks during the fireworks, do this because no one is around!

Same experience and it was magical. We were literally spinning and dancing in the streets of Fantasyland as the fireworks went off above. Magical moment for sure.

There's a fence line that's perfect basically right between Casey's and Crystal Palace. And that's where you'll find me for Happily Ever After. You'll find me on the Tomorrowland Bridge for Happy Hallowishes.

How do cast members feel about a child standing on the raised cement part of the fence by the Dumbo/Chip and Dale statue (directly in front of the hub grass. Going for the first time in September, and I don't wanna be that person that sticks a child on their shoulder. Thought it would be great for my daughter, so she can stand on it in front of me, be raised up a bit, and also have no one directly in front of her.

Fantasy Land was our favorite place to watch Wishes because of being in the middle of the fireworks like Craig said. But, to Ryno’s point, Disney has limited the experience of HEA from the sides and back of the castle because of the integration of the projection into the show. Now, to get the full experience you must be in the front, which has made Main Street a bit more hectic.

As somebody who visits the parks nearly 5 days a week and is confined to a wheelchair, I have very specific spots from which I watch the fireworks. To give you a different perspective on this show, hopefully someday I will run into you guys at MK and can show you my preferred spot for "Happily Ever After". My "perfect" spot is not covered in this show. I actually waited in my favorite spot for 7 hours in 95 degree heat and humidity for the debut of "Happily Ever After". Since there is no one on the DIS team who is in a wheelchair, I would love to show you guys a different perspective on the WDW parks experience if I ever get a chance to run into you guys in the parks. I think a lot of other viewers could benefit a great deal from this different perspective.

If you can’t stand the shoulder to shoulder viewing - just a little further left from Craig’s spot is an ideal spot right in front of the doors to Crystal Palace. It’s very civilized !

I hate crowds as I get very claustrophobic and panic. My favorite spot to view the fireworks from is dumbo, I pick my dumbo and fly him all the way through the show :)

If you eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table and try to leave after 8:55ish, you are forced to stay under the castle to watch the fireworks (for safety purposes). We dubbed ourselves “Cinderella’s Royal Captives,” but it was crazy to see how close the fireworks are shot off!

McKenna Walters Next time stay in the restaurant. The views of the fireworks through the stained glass windows are spectacular. You obviously won’t be able to view the projections from inside but they do pipe in the music so the sound quality is good as well. We’ve never been rushed out and it’s great watching from a chair in the air conditioned restaurant. Another benefit...if you’re still eating or better yet, waiting to be served, is that when you’re done eating and watching the fireworks the park might close immediately after the show (on some nights). If that’s the case you and your family may be able to walk out down Main St. USA all by yourselves. I have great photos and videos of my wife dancing with my very young daughter at the time. It was during the holiday season with all of the Christmas lights and decorations. No one was there except a Disney Security Guard. He didn’t rush us either. He just smiled and laughed. We repeated the same thing at the same time of year a few years later with my son. Again....We had the whole place to ourselves. Great memories and photos. We still talk about it some 25 years later. Just a thought.

I'm ashamed to admit this but our family has never stayed for the show. We are early risers and like to get to the park when it opens. Once we leave we are too exhausted to return later and nobody, including kids has ever really cared.

On my first trip to disney I watched wishes from the hub. I thought it was one of the most magical moments of my life. After seeing it in your worst category :(. Where and how early to watch in september? I care the most about the projections.

first :) hehehe love all of your shows guys. Disney has had a special place in my heart since I was a kid. I was about 4 when I had my first trip. I am 25 now . I was lucky I got to experience the millennium celebration back in 2000. I still have the special snow globe they released for the celebration. Wish I still had my VHS player for some of the classics, but at least they are releasing them from the vault on DVD. Seems impossible to get Peter Pan from a legitimate source though :(.

I like viewing from the train station, it's usually a good experience. Over 30 years of going to the parks I have had experiences with a few rude people the last time I went some lady with a British accent was verbally assaulting and threatening to assault a teenage girl her family and anyone within arms reach. Then when people in the crowd showed disapproval for her actions she stared yelling louder calling everyone stupid f ing Americans and saying America is a sh*t hole. I have video of part of it. Once the show started she shut up but she had pushed people out of the way and butted in front of a veteran that couldn't stand to watch the show.. I plan on watching and filming the show from this location the next time I'm there hopefully with less drama.

Anthony L. They have explained this before that Pete is not on this show anymore. He does so many other shows, he handed this one off thos Rhino. Occasionally he will be on, but he is no longer "the host"
