Oliver H ein echter Europäer ! Wir hier in Bayern waren froh dass er 20 Jahre für uns im EU-Parlament gehockt ist. Nein, das stimmt nicht und ist Volksglaube. In Wahrheit wurde dieses Ritual nur zwei mal durchgeführt. Eben bei Otto und seiner Mutter Zita.

@@MrQsu Du hast Recht! In einem anderen Bericht erwähnt der Ordensmann, dass es keinen Beleg dafür gab und dass dieses Ritual für Zita´s Beerdigung gewünscht wurde. Trotzdem ist es ein schönes Ritual! Sollte beibehalten werden - nicht nur für diese Familie sondern generell "... eine arme Seele"!

We share a long history with all the german tribes, look at the holy roman empire of the german nation which we ruled for over 400 years. our biggest counterpart was the prussian of the north of germany, we even had a big war against them at the end of the 18th century ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_of_the_Austrian_Succession ) about 60 years later napoleon came and made a new order in europe smashing the old aristocracy. the holy roman empire disapeared and austria was not part of the unified Germany what appeared afterwards. after the fall of the HRE it didn t matter so much to join the rest of germany because austria gained land by its extension to the east and southeast through the collaps of the ottoman empire. and i guess that was complicated enough to rule all this nations at a time when nationalism rises ... we know what caused WW I but yes tecnically and culturally speaking we are germans but also with a strong influence of our friendly slavic, italian and hungarian neighbours. everything is very complicated. but yes we have our own culture and way of thinking. and yes thats why we are different. but to be honest... its not a big difference ;) ... its as different as the variations among the german provinces them self ;)
