As one who works for a bank, the argument that BTC is fraudulent or encourages money laundering or other illegal activities is an absolute joke. Bankers deal with fraud EVERY DAY. A banker will handle10,20, sometimes up to 40 fraud cases a week. That's our fiat system.

Ha! Let me tell you my story. I am a p2p trader on a site called HodlHodl. Some buyer paid me with a fraudulent EMT. Basically, he stole Bob Smith bank login, and he used the stolen login to buy Bitcoin from me. Now if someone can break into your bank account with stolen login, that sounds like a bank problem to me. If someone can buy something (anything) with stolen bank login, that sounds like a bank fraud to me. But as soon as my bank found out what the EMT was for, it suddenly became a "crypto fraud".

What does a banker say to the fact that the market cap of cryptos probably will pass 3 trillion usd this year and that money won’t be coming back to the banking system again. If this number keeps increasing over the next 10-20 years where do you see the future of a bank?

@@erdemulubas IMO, banks will eventually go away, but they won't leave without a massive fight. As long as we use our fiat system, people will cash out their crypto to pay debts, buy goods and services, and to reinvest in other ventures. At some point, a critical mass of merchants needs to accept payments in crypto...then the banks will vanish. Also, the older generation needs to move on as they are not functional in a crypto system.

There is no intrinsic value as value is an abstract mental phenomenon. Consequently, value alters as the mind's priority alters. Commodities have intrinsic qualities that the mind may value. Money is a token for value which inflates or deflates with no change to the token.

Crypto-currency, the solution without a problem since 2009. 14 years later adoption still hasn't happened and ironically, the "hodling" that is so popular in crypto is actually the reason it's not adopted: nobody is transacting in Crypto because everyone is just hodling in hopes of striking rich.

@@zaberfang I have and it does nothing to mitigate the issues: Bitcoin itself cannot be used as money, as the network cannot handle the transaction volume for consumer transactions. If it ever gets to the point of becoming legal tender, governments will simply vote to have BTC or copy paste the code, swap the assets from what ever to the new money: Everyone will pick the new currency, because why on earth do I want to make the early investors rich while I get nothing, and the code and infrastructure is easily copied - as witnessed by the thousands of coins. So did you actually think about it or are you hoping to get rich without working?

Governments have no incentive toncopy paste the code. The whole point of btc is that it's outside of anyone's reach and especially a government. They would have to start mining the new btc, only to notice that it's totally unnecessary because they want control, so they could just mint whatever Coin without all the hassle.

We banned all the privacy coins on every exchange... that's why physical cash is king and will always be king for as long as it last.. reason why everyone is pushing crypto and now digital cash.. you will never have privacy again.

not sure i follow. it's untaxable. that's its beauty. You have a wallet, and btcpay. You and i can exchange funds for work done or products made. No tax. no government control. just a transaction. Can they follow you? no. they lie. as soon as the money enters a wallet, it's gone from their gaze. do what you want with it. it's yours, not theirs. get up to speed. do your due diligence. an important step in history to ousting the elites. This is how we remove their power..remove their banks.

Meanwhile with the USD currency, The government and the Central banks has a say so over the money you've earned. Things like taxes, being able to change the amount of money you get, telling you what you can or cannot buy, freezing your bank account, etc. Keeping a third party from control the money you earn is what Bitcoin is about
