So my bestest friend is also gay (lesbian, but ok), and I'm not non-binary, but I do use "they, them" pronouns, so when I came out about my pronouns, I realised, and told her "OMG! I'M THE JOAN TO YOUR THOMAS!!😂😂😂" It was fantastic. Edit: so yeah I’m non-binary and we’re dating now and have been for over a year and I love her vv much

thats exactly me and one of my best friends... i was jealous of her at first but now i love her (platonically)... she was a new student and was in the same class as one of my other best friends and when they started hanging out more i got rlly jealous and acted like a total brat to her for nearly a year... the next year we were in the same class and idk wtf happened but we suddenly became besties! I feel so bad for being mean but like, i was in the third grade and i was a very emotional kid

Scheepgames not sure about Thomas' sexuality but Joan is nonbinary, so they're most likely not straight. (as in sexuality is really hard to explain when you're nonbinary bc most sexuality labels depend on you either being a man or a woman and if you're neither it's a bit hard.)
