🇲🇳 BOILED INTESTINE & SAUSAGE: Big sausage - Stuff intestine with blood, flour, salt, wild chives, a bit water. Tie the intestine to make a sausage. | Small sausage - stuff with meat, some of the stomach, and a smaller intestine. Other organs: liver, heart, and lungs.| Porridge - when all organs are removed, filter the stock and add rice into this stock, then wait until it becomes a porridge.
🇲🇳 THE WHITE BIRD (SHEEP TAIL/BUTT): Trim the fur of the sheep tail. Remove the rest of the hair with a blowtorch. Trim the fat inside to make a sack. Slice meat with some fat. Stuff the meat inside the tail sack and add salt water. Using a huge needle and camel wool, sew the tail. Use a special Mongolian technique to secure the sack. Blowtorch some more. Clean the exterior with boiled water then boil it for hours. Ready to serve.
🇲🇳 SHEEP HEAD BOILED IN STOMACH: Blowtorch sheep head. Scrape the bones to remove the black/burnt layer. Clean sheep's stomach by turning it inside out and scraping it with boiled water. Clean sheep head with boiled water and rub it. Cut the head in a Mongolian traditional way to break the jaw. Stuff the head in the stomach and add salt water. Make sure there is no air inside the stomach. Use camel hair as a string to sew the stomach shut. Boil for hours.

Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Miss Nergui is a rockstar! Her smile…..such a beautiful soul! How she lives alone, tending all of those goats and sheep is so impressive. I have nothing but respect for her. Utilizing every single organ of that sheep, and cooking them the way that Miss Nergui and her friends did, is absolutely amazing. The way that Sonny and Andrew respected tradition (by assisting), and responded (by eating), every single thing that was handed to them-I just love you guys! It was as if I was right there taste testing with you. I have absolutely LOVED this entire series, and wish it would never end! I do have a question though…… If there’s a medical emergency, where do the folks that live the nomad lifestyle go? Especially, Miss Nergui being all alone out there…….

I am a Hungarian man, and I claim that the way of eating presented in this video is in many ways very similar to the traditional Hungarian feasts, which are still actively practiced in many Hungarian villages. For example, the Hungarian villagers have a dish called "blood sausage", where they mix boiled rice with blood and stuff it into the large intestine... But there is also a way of making so-called "pork cheese", which means that we stuff boiled pork meat and organ meats into a pig's stomach, then this stomach is weighed down for days, and then even smoked... it lasts for a long time without refrigerator and is very tasty! Although I myself have been living in the USA for a decade, I follow the carnivore diet, even its raw version, that is, I eat raw meat and raw offal, but sometimes I directly buy whole pig heads, cook them in whole, and eat them because they are so delicious. Besides, I have a genetic test made, and it turned out that I also have Indian "blood", i.e. genes, although only 0.2% - I don't know where it got into me... But I'm happy about it! My Indian ancestor, from whom I inherited this, may have lived about 250 years ago...

Nergui...hasn’t lost an animal. Bloomin brilliant. I was brought up on a Scottish sheep farm. Modern methods, hangars, sheep dogs and we would always find dead sheep on the moor. Sonny couldn’t catch a cold in winter. Let alone a sheep. This lady on a motorbike, cooks amazing food, laughs and the only thing she would change in her life is the weather. Thanks for an amazing series. Eba😘👍👏🙏 I wish countries would plant as many trees as they buy arms. Congrats...most times you get brilliant co-hosts/translators. Eba is one.

Some people might wonder why there is no spice when cooking the meat. I would say, in the gobi, our livestock eats over 300 types of herbs therefore needing no spice, probably except the blood sausage. It is too tasty.

it's amazing to see blood sausage has asian roots in the first place. here in Anatolia Turkey blood sausage is forgotten, probably due to dogmatic islamic beliefs wasting so much nutritional blood poured into the sewage system in whole country. there is no blood sausage here in Turkish cuisine and it is a god damn shame, salute!

Another totally awesome series! I think I love the cultural aspects of these tours as much as the food side of things. It's always better if you get a little bit of context and history to go with the food. In hindsight, I'm very glad your TV show didn't work out, because now we get all this wonderful content, and you get to do what you want and how you want it without a studio and production office stepping on your neck... And we're all richer for it!

I am officially i love with Mongolia and Mongolians. Seriously, i don’t think I’ll ever respect another culture as much as i do these wonderful ppl. I wish that i, as a white person, had more of a connection with my ethnicity/ethnicities...but like most generic white Americans i have no clue who I really am. We are all mutts, if you will...and it really creates a disconnect that we all feel deep within our souls. This is why the new DNA programs are so very popular.... we are the most disconnected from where we started and where we are going. It’s sad and i believe it is the core of what causes so much depression and discord in everyday life. There is nothing wrong with wanting to know who you are, where you came from and what created the people that you hail from. As long as we can do that and respect all other cultures and people.... we should be proud of who we are and where we came from...as well as where we’re continuing to go in the future. And all this without feeling that anyone is superior or inferior....we all just are. ✌🏻 ❤️ 😃

When Genghis Khan's father was assassinated and his tribe was breaking apart. It was the Khan's mother who stood in from of a fleeing crowding, holding his family's insignia, commanding the fleeing crowd to be calm and stay together. It was the Khan's mother that nursed him back to health after he was injured, and it was his mother who held enough of his tribe together and to feed and care for the Khan and his brothers during the toughest of the times. If not for the Khan's mother, Temüjin would've died without leaving a trace in history. Mongolian women are not to be trifled with. They are great wives, mothers, and leaders.

Miss Nergui.. WOW! Any comment I'd make would be lesser than she or comments already posted here. Just this: AMAZING lady!!! Now.. this season with Andrew.. Sonny, it was so important to me this Mongolia tour! I've been thru many personal issues and each episode was the only reason that made me laugh out loud! I'm so like Andrew seems to be... I had so much fun with you guys interacting and was so deeply pleased by these episodes you have no idea how much good you guys did to me! So: THANK YOU ALL! Can't wait the next tour and hate to know you'll skip some days and post all-in-one format for this. I'll wait for the next season and hope Andrew will join you soon again.

the reason why you're show is consistently the best of the current era and one of the best of all time is because you keep showing me new and weird stuff that I've never seen before, and I love watching you eat the weird stuff without (much) hesitation, and you know how to appreciate it even when its a little bit gross!
