Im poor and struggling to find a job because my info got stolen, and im used to struggling to find food and get work due to my upbringing, and have met many homeless people in my life and hung out with them. I've seen a lot, and am pretty desensitized, but this is one of the few things that hit me. Im never gonna be this poor. Thank you sonny for what you do.

It is an empanadilla. To call it pastelillo is a new trend of some Puerto Ricans for unknown reasons. A pastelillo is made of hojaldre and is square.

The danger of eating raw meat does not come from the meat itself but from the processors. If you raise your own chickens and your own eggs you can eat them raw, if you cared for them well, because they're healthy and they're fresh. The different meat and dairy processors that we deal with don't always adhere to the rules that they should. Also they go through the transportation process which takes time and if they aren't kept at the right temperature they can go off quite easily in shipment.

Yeah, it's definitely sustainable for them. They don't hunt it, they receive the whales by nature of fate. Leave those good people alone.

PLEASE NOTE: It's not a street food, and it doesn't happen/practiced in the entire Philippines. It's only a means out of hunger in the slums of the metro as a result of extreme poverty.

It’s a shame that Jollibee and the other food places can’t work something out with the pag pag cooks where the disposed of food could be given to them immediately to use instead of sitting in the trash bags for an unknown amount of time. That would at least make it a bit less dangerous.
