BRISKET BRITTLE: It’s peanut brittle, except without the peanuts and with brisket instead.

RUTH’S STUFFED FRIED TACO CONE: Take a fried corn tortilla cone and add two scoops of cilantro rice. Add a scoop of black beans, then perfectly cooked barbacoa. Add a scoop of pico de gallo and sprinkle with cheese. Drizzle with jalapeño sauce. Top it off with a lime wedge!

Flew in from Japan to see my family in Texas 5 weeks ago and the State Fair was the first thing on my list of things to do. Had the Brisket Brittle and was a little surprised. I really liked the hint of heat at the end. Would buy again.

That taco cone won't taste good in the end. You'd basically be eating one ingredient at a time. There's a reason why tacos are so good when the ingredients are evenly distributed.

They are great. I'm from Dallas every year we get a day off from school for the fair. The food competition is where you get gumbo balls, funnel cake burger, etc. All came from the state fair first. Btw the gumbo balls are great, not salty at all!

@@chris_1988 You really shouldn't be eating that much oily, buttery fried food anyways. Just one of those monstrosities is more than your recommended saturated fat intake. The most practical thing to do is go with a large group of friends and share several items so you get to try a lot of different things while being civil to your body.

That's not "Fried-Butter" that's fried butter biscuit. REAL Fried Butter is 1/4 or 1/3 sticks of Butter dipped in a bloomin' onion type spicy batter and fast deep-fried. Only thing he invented was NOT Fried Butter. I ate REAL Fried Butter at the North Carolina State Fair in 1988.

He had to come back because Vietnam went into lockdown so they couldn't make more content. The rest of the world wasn't yet open. Now that the world is slowly reopening his international travel will resume soon most likely. For now I think he is filming here because of the lack of restrictions in many states. Then he'll be back to new things.

The Texas Easter Egg made me think of the Scottish egg I had at a fair. Cool concept. Basically breakfast in a ball. Hard boiled egg, wrapped in a sausage patty, dipped in pancake batter, and fried. Love all the ingenuity found at the fair.

I enjoy this channel and I watch it with a smile on my face. This video made me comment which I don't do usually. Best Food Review Show is still Entertaining.
