At this point in time 'Best Ever Food Review Show' is definitely an understatement. The guy has the perfect personality to constantly meet new people and dishes. I'm really glad the team not getting a show on tv worked out for all them so we can enjoy the show without unnecessary commercials every 5 minutes.

Bun cha is one of the most famous dish in Hanoi, super popular in Hanoi way before Obama even came to VN. Your guide, she’s not from Hanoi so maybe she might not know about it ! BTW another great video Sonny, big fan ^^

FYI the compressed bun kind is not called “banh hoi”, that’s the different type of bun in the South. That’s called “bun la” basically means “rice noodles leaf”

You right, Bun Cha is one of the "must eat" food in Vietnam and this dish is famous with Vietnamese people but she got it wrong because she is a southern girl. Obama's visit just make Bun Cha more popular with foreign people. With Vietnamese people, just the restaurant that Obama ate become more popular, not the food because it's a famous food already.

Try "Banh da" in Hai Phong next, especially "Banh da cua". It's a special type of noodles that come in all different sizes, texture and flavor that only Hai Phong has. It's basically dried Pho!

I'm Vietnamese as well. I've lived in Hanoi for 4 years and still been obsessed with discovering the city's cuisine. I think your content is very dense. The tour girl does not know and understand much about Hanoi food. Bun cha might not be very popular everywhere in Vietnam, it is a quintessential Hanoi food (perhaps #2 behind pho). It is a defining and well-known local dish regardless of the Obama visit (still thankful for him and Bourdain for making it even more famous). From her accent, she is not from Hanoi. While she seems to be a nice person, a knowledgeable local guide would make this video more informative

Bun cha is famous when they comes to vietnam and people recommend them but not to foreigners and not many Vietnamese that is born in america knows it! Obama and food reaction shows made bun cha well known more. So people say its already famous is dead wrong. Famous for vietnam locals yes but that is all! Its one of the most eaten food with tourist cause people recommend them. Go to america and ask any western , what the hell it is. They probably will know and recall if people say obama knows about it.

Bu'n cha? already very popular dish in North VietNam for many many many years. I LOVE bu'n o^'c. I used to live in Florida and ate a lot of o^'c (snails) , so so good. Florida supply a lot of o^'c to California and other states (farm-raised snails), especially to Vietnamese supermarket. Thank you for another great video! :)

Small note: "Fake dog meat" is not totally accurate imo, though it's literally the direct translation of the dish's name :D It's pork feet and you cook them using spices and herbs that usually go with dog meat, like citronella, alpinia, ginger, etc..., hence the name "fake dog meat" since it somehow taste the same.

Hahaha, that doesn't sound bad at all. I mean if you say "pig's trotters with citronella and ginger" it sounds good. "fake dog meat" makes it sound even worse than dog meat. Like what you would eat if you were too poor to even afford to eat dog.

TRUE FACT: I just got back from the Tsung Moi Tan Dan Buddhist Monestary (don't Google it, it's too secret) where I spent 5 years learning the secrets to this thin fabric we call the physical universe. Just found out about you, and i just love your videos. Love your humour, your content. But your channel name throw me off a little bit. I almost didn't click on your video thinking you're just some random clickbait channels. Also you have beautiful thumbnails but doesn't put any text onto it. Come on man, you already have the content you just need people to click on it.
