The thing I understand from observing dogs...The bigger the dog is the smaller he think he is eg:- Great Dane ,St.Bernad.. And The smaller the dog is the bigger he think he is eg:- Chihuahua, Dash Hound

The thing that I'm learning is that the bigger they are, the less coordinated they become. Big dogs like these cannot handle doing basic stunts such as catching a ball in the air. Medium to small dogs on the other hand could basically do quadruple backflips before touching the ground again. At least from my experience.

We had to put several baby gates in the kitchen doorways (one wasn't enough) to keep our danes from getting in to do that. The younger one also taught the older one how to open pretty much any kind of door.

I have had two Danes, they are unique. They believe they are part of the family and their role is to protect the family, particularly the children and the wife. NO ONE got near my wife the dog did not approve of. They are adept at stealing food, leave a sandwich in the lounge, go to the kitchen for a drink, come back, sandwich gone!, dog innocently looking out of the window. They like to back up and sit on furniture like a human, one of mine had his own settee. Great guard dogs, lived with mine in three African countries and somewhat uniquely my house was never entered by a thief. Unfortunately their average life span is seven to ten years.

we had a friend here on Maui that had his Dane named sunny... he drove him around in a Ford fiesta from the 80s... it was a beautiful thing... Sunny was a good boy...

The cat on the mattress was my kryptonite. The Dane was willing to share it at first but as soon as the cat rolled over to stop him from sitting down the Dane pushed him off completely. 🤣🤣🤣

I have owned several Danes over the years, and besides being the greatest breed ever, they are natural comedians! I had as many as (5) living in my house at the same time with out so much as (1) squabble between them! This is the funniest Great Danes video that I have ever watched! I loved my Danes! Wish I could bring them all back to life!

I was fortunate to own a Great Dane some years ago and he sat with his bum on the sofa and front paws on the floor. He would come and sit by my side and join me in watching TV.

Mom baby sat for a family with a GD. every day at 1 he would sit down and stare at her. She thought he was goofy. About 3 weeks in they remembered to tell her he was to get 2 bone treats after lunch.

I have a 5 year old 190lb Euro Dane named Groot. He drinks from the fridge. You know, the outside where you put your cup? He pushes that with his nose and drinks from it like a fountain. It’s hilarious.

I know that they don’t because we had a Great Dane as a family dog and she didn’t need much space. After all, they aren’t very energetic dogs. (P.S. , She died last November of a heart attack 😢😢😢😢)

It's really fun when you get a really smart one that teaches the older dog how to escape from crates and open doors, then you get home and the place is trashed. So many doorknobs that had to be replaced.

I love our Dane, and seeing him with my cats is just so freaking funny. They hate him and run and hiss and he’ll do the army crawl towards them panting like, “friend? You’re my friend?” Poor guy has gotten two bloody noses as a result

The dane moving the cat out of the bed with its nose is the smartest thing I've seen a dane do. Most dogs bark or get anxious, or at the most, will pull the bed around in hopes the cat will jump out on it's own. Fat chance. This dane actually made its point clear, and it worked.

Diese Hunde sind wunderbar, ich liebe sie von ganzem Herzen. Seit 44 Jahren ist immer eine oder zwei Doggen an meiner Seite. Sie haben einen wunderbaren Charakter und müssen sanft behandelt werden. Wenn man auch von ihnen nicht immer so sanft behandelt wird, Aber es ist die pure Liebe!!!

@@Judyp77 you don't want to feed these dogs on the cheap. they're big they grow very fast and if you're feeding them garbage you may have some bone problems. You probably can count on $150 a month.

Me too. Although I wouldn't have been upset with the kid because he was just trying to protect his sibling. The parents shouldn't have let it get to the point that their son wanted to help his sibling. However, when the kid through the stick, I admired how smart he was instead.
