This video seems to have gotten a lot of attention, and unfortunately due to the fast pace at which FPV Drones move forward and change the information is not very useful here for the newer versions. Hi my friend, but i have a question. Tbs tango 2 is compatible with betafpv elrs 2.4ghz micro tx module? I'm desperate. And Well done for this video.

Hi, TBS usually only supports their own system TBS Crossfire/Tracer ELRS is a different protocol so I would say it will not work unless TBS released a new radio that works with ELRS which I have not heard of

Would you recommend 65pro (2022 version) as the first drone? To learn how to fly indoors and eventually switch to 5". Or will 75 be a better choice?

Yeah it's a good little drone for sure. 65mm is good for indoors and you can fly outside too but wind will fly it for you sometimes haha I would do 65mm, then a 3 or 3.5 inch, and then 5 inch later because the 3.5 inch have mega power and if you're new it's tough to learn on a super fast drone but it can be done. If you're the type of person who buys 1 things and uses it until it's totally dead then 5 inches from the get go might be a good idea. If you know you like to switch it up 3.5 inches might be a good second step.

@@volaertus So I've bought it in the end, it will arrive in a few days, and the thing I've realized is in your video it is a 2021 version, while I've ordered 2022 version. Apparently it has to be flashed in a different way (without Betaflight) and some other stuff is different too. Thanks anyway :)

Hi, i did a firmware upgrade of the meteor65pro elrs via betaflight. now, i lost all settings Video transmitter tab doesnt show anything. is there anyway to set from scratch?

Hi, you would have to find the firmware for your drone. This video is for the 2021 model, if you have the newer one maybe that's why it broke. But the process is the same

I just got a literadio 2se and a meteor 65 pro. Do I have to go through all these steps to bind them? Or just use the bind buttons on the radio and FC?

I would try to bind it as is to see if it works by pure chance, and then if it doesn't try the binding phrase part The high-level of ELRS is same version (v2 on drone = v2 on radio, same for v3) Binding phrase must match (if you're using one) If you cannot bind them, you will need betafpv configurator for the radio, and betaflight for the drone assuming they made it compatible with betaflight Sorry for all the info, but this hobby is definitely painful to learn! Well worth it once you master the basics, but it's super tough at first.

@@volaertus so my meteor is the 2022 version. Is this video specific to the 2022 version? I thought I saw something that the 2022 version is elrs over serial of something? I'm struggling to get anywhere with it

so i managed to get it working. I had to use the 4.3 firmware and I copy/pasted the entire cli dump from betafpv. I turned off the binding phrase in my literadio 2se in the betafpv configurator. After that, I did the power on/off 3 times on the drone to get it into binding mode. Then, I pressed the bind button on the remote and it finally connected. The only thing I had to do after that was change the channel assignments to TAER4321 IIRC because the sticks were reversed.

Hi your tutorial is very clear ! But ... Doing it, I have some issues: 1 - "set expresslrs_rate_index = 0" ---> I believe betaflight put an error but quit like is saving it ---> QUESTION : Is it normal ? 2 - By default the Firmware version of the drone that I bought is: " betaflight_4.3.0_BETAFPVF411 (ELRS)". --> QUESTION :Do I need to changed it ? Radio : MAMBO TBS TX: BETAFPV 2400 TX Micro 1000mW (version 3.1.2 upload on the configurator + LUA file update on the radio) If anyone has an advise ---> Thank for your help !

You probably have a different drone, go to the manufacturer website and see which flight controller your drone uses, then figure out which firmware you need. Very likely you already have the correct firmware and just need to do the baud rate and bind phrase Make sure both radio and drone are on same version of elrs

Since I have a ELRS BetaFPV 2SE Radio - I don't see a choice to recover or use or modify my binding phrase for configurating the Meteor 65 (2022) using BF. In ExpressLRS configurator The only LiteRadio's TX's listed are the TX Micro, TX Micro 1000 mW, and the LiteRadio 3 Pro. Mine is a 2 SE. Since the controller is already using a binding phrase I need to put it on the drone as well as the

In my betaflight settings i have UART1 = Disabled and Serial RX = Enabled. Is this correct? my receiver is the ELRS Serial RX. I guess it same as yours. (Not SPI)

@@marinebymistake Hi there, I just used express elrs configurator to set the tx and rx passphrase. it worked fine. Also BETAFPV sent me a file. I can share it with u if u want. can u drop me an email?

The "old" meteor 65 pro uses SPI, but the new one uses serial ELRS. How does that bind process differ?

Pretty sure you're speaking about the same thing in 2 different ways. Serial and UART are the 2 types of connectivity. UART is like a USB port, serial is built-in on the flight controller. So either the serial drones you have to do it through betaflight unfortunately, but it's not that difficult! Just a bit of a workaround

@@RARenfield oh, now that's an interesting point that I do not know how to answer because I have yet to mess around with the new meteor65. Is it a USB cable issue, perhaps?

@@volaertus They didn't enclose a proper cable, so that's possible. New FC uses the old USB-micro. There's no USB-C solution. I had to use the Apple adapter with their old USB-A to USB micro cable.

Hi how are you? I just got a Meteor 65 ELRS and I successfully got the firmware flashed to 4.3.0 but When I go to select bind on my controller with my betafpv nano tx module with elrs verson 3.0.0 It wont bind.

Hello, make sure the bind phrase is the same on both devices (radio [transmitter] and drone[receiver] ) Also make sure you match the same ELRS version: 1:1, 2:2, 3:3 on both 3rd, you still have to make your meteor go into bind mode, and THEN you execute the ELRS script on your radio. First drone, then radio

@@volaertus yeah... i kinda stayed up all night trying to get that crazy thing to work. I found that flashing it to 2.0.0 elrs and using firmware 4.3.0 with the beta fpv cli diff dump has let me bind. Motors are fine, everything is seemably fine, in goggles it just wants me to calibrate which i thought happens on its own, i think i just need to plug in a new battery

@@volaertus funny i just came back to reply yes its about the gyro, it wont arm on 4.3.0 firmware because The gyro wont calibrate. I got it to arm last night after about a minute or two of fiddling with it but idk how i did it. I figured it out because of the osd in the goggles.

I should add, yeah im stumped idk what to do to get it working again. What im afraid of is that apparently theres a good chance that gyro can get bricked on these boards upon pluging them in. According to mr.shutterbug. so.... maybe you might have a fix?...

@@jefbes743 If you're talking about a Fly Sky i6S radio, it depends on which receiver you have. If your drone is ELRS and you have a FlySky Receiver, you probably won't be able to unless you purchase an external module. Your drone and radio must have the same protocols to be able to work together. Hope that helps!

Just following the steps from BETAFPV. I remember reading that if you used something other than 4.3.0 for this FC the drone would lose control at close range

Yes, without betaflight you will have a very difficult time configuring the drone to your needs. If you have problems installing it, we have a video on how to install it on our channel which can be found with a very simple search

Hello and thenks for the video, is my first fpv and I have the BETAFPV Meteor65 Brushless Whoop Quadcopter (1S) ELRS. But even when I have the same betaflight configurator 10.8.0 I don't see the same options. can you point me to how you get there ?. I found my own answer ... Make sure there's no extra characters or spaces. Not sure why you got that error. Some of the new meteor65 are set up differently from what I've seen
