@@datbadassunicorn2832 it’s not like I’m going to continue doing it as she gets older. I actually haven’t even done it at all since i made the original comment, and yes I said “every day” but I said it in my head when I did it lol, I’ve done it out loud maybe 3 times *ever* bc sometimes babies are just *more* than a handful. @@bluuuuuueee333 yes I have a child. I get down on her level and talk to her about it in a way she can understand. And sometimes give a time out if needed. Tho I hardly ever had to give her a time out. But she never once had a meltdown or temper tantrum or acted out like I see some kids do. And when I ask her not to do something she just says ok mommy! And says sorry if she thinks she needs to. She is really nice to other kids and animals and respectful. Maybe I’m just lucky. Thoe she did go through a busy body stage and I had to constantly follow her around to keep her outta things when she was a toddler. I think they do understand. I think that’s why in this video after she said it he started to cry fuss a little. But he seemed to move on pretty fast. But I seen other kids have full on temper tantrums and act out and do more bad things. Iv baby sat kids like that it seems like they want to do things to get your attention or spite you even.. they can be frustrating.. so I get it. Same thing happened to me with my son, when he was 3.... Was driving on the freeway and he opened up the door, luckily it got stuck a little on the opening lock; but the door was open. His older sister (by a year and a half, Mommy number 2) yelled at him and unbuckled her seat belt to close the door, it all just happened so fast. I started screaming "No! No! No!! Get your seat belt on, while trying to still look at the road while looking at the back seat area. I tried to get to the emergency pullover area as fast as I could, I had an emotional and mental breakdown. I was so scared, as soon as I pulled over I grabbed them and balled my eyes out; then I explained to them what could have happened to them. My daughter understood more than my son, because my son thought he was invincible like Spiderman. Convincing him that he wasn't Spiderman is a whole other story, but yeah.. My kids are grown now. They need to make commercials to remind parents to engage the child safety lock on the doors.
